Fun little fact about that Abu Dhabi win: Raikkonen’s win marks the only time an Abu Dhabi winner was NOT won from the front row in the entire history of the circuit. And another thing: if we’re counting Brawn GP as Mercedes, Raikkonen remains one of two non Red Bull or Mercedes constructors to have won in Abu Dhabi, the other being Hamilton in McLaren. He really knew what he was doing.

Prime Kimi of the 2000s was an absolute monster of a driver, whether he was hounding Schumi's tail and behind 2 points in 2003, his legendary run from P17 to P1 in Japan 2005, or his championship victory in 2007. Interestingly, his final victory at COTA 2018 would make him the only driver to win in a car powered by V10, V8, and V6. Alonso still has a chance of becoming the 2nd only driver to do so, and hopefully the 2026 season will bring him that historic milestone.
