@IvanWheatman4 жыл бұрын
Hi! Basically you won't hear it through your PC without a software that can receive and process MIDI - keep in mind it is not a standalone piano with built-in sounds, but a MIDI controller. There is a wide variety of MIDI and VST plugins and software though. I would recommend digging into the theory a little bit before you buy it.

What are the cons of having a midi keyboard like this over something like casio ctk x700 and what are the pros of having this over ctk x700
@blisssenseripzyzz4evermiri1765 жыл бұрын
the obvious one is that you can't play it standalone since it has no built in sound/speakers, i've had ctk 3500, ctk 2300 and another one and they all stopped working at some point. The USB port on one of them stopped working after only 1.5 year of light use, the other stopped receiving power via adapter, it only worked with batteries and the last one had a cheap feeling and it had the same problem with the USB, entry level casios are poorly made and for higher end boards you want yamaha so I don't recommend them at all.

Here is what google says about it: "Audacity cannot record MIDI input, only import and play MIDI files. Audacity cannot be directly controlled by a MIDI controller, though Bome's MIDI Translator (Windows and Mac) can translate MIDI commands to standard keystrokes which Audacity can then recognize as keyboard shortcuts" Haven't tested it myself tho.

@IvanWheatman7 жыл бұрын
actually not that much. i have some complains about the velocity, but the keyboard itself is pretty nice feeling
@True_Necroholic7 жыл бұрын
Ya I hate the velocity. No matter what curve I select I find I cannot play as softly as I would like. I try to play some Chopin or Satie and notes are missing all over the place because I pressed the keys "too softly". I dislike how the keys must be fully released in order to be played again.
