Thank you. Smart to open another instance of the plug-in while mapping. Personally I like to use the midi learn function as well. After creating a page, you move over to the plug-in view, then press shift+setup and you are in midi learn mode. Move a control on the plug-in an then move the encoder or fader you want to assign to the control. Also you can assign the direct access page buttons in midi learn mode: use the setup knob to activate this mode and then press one of these buttons. Quit midi learn by pressing shift+setup once more.

@@CRASS2047 Yeah the price is definitely better than most. Both the T6 and the LX88+ are around $475 Canadian. Hard to find something with that amount of features for that price. Do the LX keys have a bit of weight? I have the LX25+ and for synth weight, I like them.

It has changed dramatically and I am at a loss as to how to import patches. Auto import from VST doesn't work and neither does import from Nektar supplied patch files. Using VST3 instruments. Uhe Hive is the only plugin with which patches have loaded and Hive and Diva are the only VST's that have Mappings although they are rather complicated. I have made a mapping for Kontakt Scarbee A-200 but it is hit or miss on loading it up either in stand alone or within a DAW with Nektarine as the VST host. Giving up - Hardware Control Layout of the T6 is great and REaper integration as a DAW interface is great but VST control sucks and so does the loud keybed.

I've been doing some mapping of my instruments, and I've come across a couple of flaws in the Nektarine implementation. First, if you plan to create navigation using the four soft buttons at the bottom of the screen, you run into a snag if you have any sub pages. Once you have navigated to a sub page, your only options for your page buttons are the other sub pages at the same level of the sub page you are editing. So, if you have sub pages, you can't create a sequential navigation through all of your pages, as you become trapped once you navigate to a sub page. This seems like an oversight by the Nektar team and impedes the ability to make a seamless navigation through all pages of a mapping. Also, I can't for the life of me figure out some of the page templates, specifically the templates that have both sliders and buttons or sliders and knobs. I can drag parameters to the sliders and they work fine, but dragging parameters onto the knobs or buttons doesn't seem to do anything. The name of the parameter appears beneath the knob or button in the template, but the knob or button does not control the assigned parameter. In fact, each knob just seems to end up controlling the same parameter as the slider above it. It seems to me that it would be far more valuable to be able to assign both knobs and sliders to different parameters within a page, but this doesn't seem possible. The each slider/knob pair seems to share a parameter. This seems to be due to a limitation of eight control assignments per page, corresponding to the number of controls that can be displayed on the Panorama's screen. But it would be far more useful of you could assign all of the Panorama's sliders and knobs within any given page, rather than being limited to just eight total controls. The last gripe I have is regarding the T-series physical control panel itself. Specifically, it's hard to see the controls in a dark studio, as the knobs and sliders are black, set against a black control panel. It would be a major improvement if the controls could be accented with LEDs, surrounded with white silkscreening or at least offset in a contrasting color to make them easier to locate in typical studio lighting. These limitation really diminish the value of the Panorama to me, and make mapping complex instruments a bit awkward. If I'm doing something wrong, or missing something in how I'm approaching mapping Instruments, I'd love to hear about it, as otherwise this seems like a nice piece of kit.

If you use Reason then you are better off with the remote mappings, so much more control and easier to do IMO. Yes the navigation of returning from sub pages is a bit screwed, the instrument button returns you to back however you then need to setup the Nav so you can bypass pages with sub pages. The Knobs and Sliders are for the P series not the T series. I changed the knobs on my P series and I have some spare for my T-series, just have not got around to change them, you can get luminous\glowing knobs!!! That may help in low light..

Hi.I have a question.You have an "FilmScore"-it goes to a certain program/DAW? I downloaded "Bitwig studio" for myself and the maximum that I got was a PDF file.Instructions on how to work with the keyboard. Are all the presets you have in the video separate presets and plugins, or do they come with the keyboard? On the website "nectar" in "my-account" can set in which program I create music.And if set certain then, yes, you can download the installer.Therefore, I do not understand whether "presets", "plugins" or "virtual tools" are supplied with the keyboard?

All Nektar hardware products are just controllers only, Nektarine is available with them however it's just a host only, all the other plugins are 3rd party. FilmScore is from Korgs M1 VST.

Hi! Thank you very much for these video, even tho I don't use Reason, it's quite useful. I have a question, maybe you know the answer. I've heard it's possible to use maps from Nektarine without Nektarie, you just have to place the map file into a certain folder where Panorama can read the file. My question is, do you happen to know where does the controller look for these maps? I have a Panorama T6 and would be really helpful to use it without Nektarine, mostly for collabs.

As far as I can work out so far, some mappings are included, such as Absynth 5, FM8, Massive, Reaktor 6, and several Kontakt instruments. Others are not, such as Battery, Massive X and Komplete Kontrol. There's a list at support.nektartech.com/panorama-t4-t6-maps.html but it might not be entirely accurate.

Hey, sorry if my comment before was a bit angry, I'm just really frustrated with the P1 since I got it a few years ago. I actually boxed it up again as it was so buggy as a mixer jumping around in my template. Your videos seem really helpful, almost wish I used Reason now ha. I've just posted my issue to Nektar Support, see if I get a reply. Here's what I said as it seems like something unrelated to DAW and something I imagined more people would have an issue with but I cant find anything about it. "I'm trying to use the Panorama P1 with Cubase Integration mainly just as an instrument controller in the Instrument mode with or without Nektarine and would like to know how I can change Fader 2 from being MIDI CC - 1 and Fader 8 from being MIDI CC-7 without switching to and staying in the Internal mode? Is there an editor somewhere where I can change the MIDI CC number each controller on the P1 transmits? It seems daft to me that all the controllers aren't sending MIDI on unused CC numbers so that I'm not stuck with Fader 2 controlling Instrument Modulation and Fader 8 controlling Instrument Volume regardless of what I assign on each control via Learn in the menu. Even if I Clear an assigned function from these faders they still transmit MIDI 1 and 7." Does this not seem an annoying issue to anyone else? Cheers

Some developers dont expose those parameters. Open nektarine, load your vsti, and select the control window, on the left is the list of synth parameters (VCO, ADSR etc), nektarine can see and map. Look for "preset previous" and "preset next", if there you can drag them onto any knob or button.

Hello Poohbear, I have a question I had purchased the nectar panorama P4 in July of 2018 and installed all necessary files from the nectar site to operate the p4 with reason. I just checked the nectar at my account for any updates for the p4 and I see integration 2019 update and also a nektarine installer. My question is the nektarine work with the p4 too?

Yes Nektarine works with the P series now, not sure which DAW's it is support on, should be most of them. I have been running on Reason for quite a while now.

Hello PoohBear. I decided to open up Dexed(via Nektarine) today and have some fun messing around. I noticed that my Dexed map that I'd previously spent considerable time creating for my P6 doesn't display on my P6's display(instrument mode). I then spent even more time updating both the P6 and Nektarine, to no avail. This map displays(and functions) properly with Nektarine in standalone but not inside of Reason. Do you have any suggestions on this issue? Windows 10. Reason 11.

You did save it? (bottom right hand corner) Do you have a file under %userprofile%\Documents\Nektar\Nektarine\Mapping Files\Instruments it will be called something like Dexed.npm ? Also in the top right hand corner there is a little coloured rectangle it should be fully coloured so it links your Nektar. Have you seen my help us helping you video? We could do a full mapping so you won't need to use Nektarine in Reason.

3 questions from a newbie struggling with a Panorama P6 and Reaper: 1. nektartech.com/Nektarine-Help/ implies that Nektarine won't even work with a P6 in Reaper. Is this true? 2. After a VST's mappings have been set up in Nektarine, does the VST still have to loaded from INSIDE a Nektarine VST in order for the mappings to apply, or will the mappings still apply if the VST is loaded directly to a DAW track? 3. What is the advantage of Nektarine over just switching to the "Internal" mode on the P6 and mapping controls there? No doubt I'm being thick, but I'm just missing the fundamental reason for Nektarine.

With Nektarine you have the mapping saved, People who use more than one DAW can have the same mapping for a device, e.g. you map it once and anything that can load Nektarine you have the mapping available. Because of the Nektar/Reaper integration, it seems there are 3 different choices for setting up my controls for VSTs. 1. Instrument mode. 2. Internal mode. 3. Nektarine (assuming it's supported). Quite confusing to know which way to go. I do have Reason too, but now I only use the rack as a VST in Reaper, so I don't need uniformity of seeings across different DAWs.

I'm surprised there is still no repository for user-made .nek mappings, unless there is and I've missed it.

I’m sorry, I’ve just been frustrated trying to learn why when I got my new Impact GXP61 controller assigned to a midi channel so I could hear it, now I can’t hear my old keyboard anymore that is plugged into my Focusrite interface, even though I hear my DAW in my monitors which come out of the Focusrite. THIS WHOLE MIDI CHANNELS AND MIDI I.D. THING IS EATING MY BRAIN! AAARGH ! Thank you for the video though, seriously.

Your video just moved fast for an aging technophobe like me. I’m running Reaper on Windows 10. Thanks for asking. I have a Korg midi controller plugged into a Focusrite USB interface but my Nektar Impact GXP61 is plugged directly into the laptop. That’s why I had a mess to sort out, I didn’t know how to separate the 2 controllers on separate channels and tracks. I think the missing piece was closing Reaper and then reopening. Now I’ll watch your video again. Thank you for it.
