I remember when my sis in law called nelly weird. She said alotta my music tastes was weird. And the more she called them weird, the more i wanted to listen. Its like so is being w/ my incestrial bro where he openly admitted to her he was like that towards before i even got to ms, but she doesnt want to talk about that part. Or the part where her parents bailed on her & how they wouldve never made it as parents if not for my own. But she mowt likely doesnt want to talk qbout that part either. & Of course, theyre weird too for her. Cant he as bad as her dad damn hitting on me. I hate them & prob y i hate all ppl now. Im prob heing dramatic but none of that helped either. Someone tells u those things, its not like u cant ever unhear it. & I know damn well, she low key thinks about those things every single day of her life. & Its not that i dont want connection w/ my nieces. I just dont want the connection they have to others & would rather not have them reach out to my own. Like who the hell even allows reaching out w/ out consent, & Still over steps it? 1 of those prime exs of i dont give a flying f what degree, what status uve reached, yada yada. U still lack some damn commin sense. & Just bc u have materials, doesnt make u any less gross. Anyways :/, this song kind of just reminds me to stay humble. I try to hide my crazy but idk either. What disruption i may form out of it. Bc im always moving onto the next interest bc f u anyways, yeah

So because you guys are "adults"' now, a name given by society, means you need to have responsibility? Responsibility means limitations in your own head, to feel yourself safe. If you dont like it, then dont live towards it and do the fuck what you want in life
@maxweiss24028 жыл бұрын
MrAnarification Sorry to break this to you, but there is law that simply states that as soon as you reach the magic age of 18, you are responsible for your life, your actions and sometimes even other people like your sick parents or siblings. There are things that you can't run from in this world and one of them is becoming an adult and taking over responsibility. You can try but it makes it all just get worse and worse. It starts to change you because even if you do want to go wild and do crazy shit, there is always this nagging voice in your head telling you that you shouldn't do it or that it will be dangerous which takes out the fun in almost everything that really is fun. So...yeah, because we are "adults" we have "responsibility".

This is the song that immediately transports me to a beautifully simple time in my childhood. I was 8 years old when this song played on the radio during the car ride to the movies with my dad. I went to go see Rugrats in Paris in Downtown Disney's AMC theater that day. That same day, my dad also took me to Burger King when they had the Rugrats watch toys that came with the kids meal. I got a watch with Phil and Lil on it. Then, my mom bought me a Sony Walkman CD player and I was gifted Nelly Furtado's CD with this song on it. I can't tell you how many AA batteries I went through just to listen to this song. Whether at the skating rink, or patiently waiting for Windows XP SP2 to finish installing, this song was most likely played. I know we have this cruel unidirectional flow of time, but these memories were very beautiful to me. Thanks for reading.

Modern day "Artists" make the most money on sex songs selling thier asses. First Nelly Furtado's albums were about putting meaning into the songs; when Timbaland convinced her to switch to sexy style to make more money all the magic was gone. That's how songs like this one are still epic and the "new" ones fade away.

In between can become homeless at any pt or I can actually become stable. & I legitimately actually did that by myself. Well, some folks out there must've took a chance on me. But I gotta carefully weave my way out of alotta things bc it's always been delicate things, for me. I'm not snotty. Somexs I think I'm snappy. Or I'm not sure if that many ppl live trying me & or all folks in general. Or it's just the state ppl r in so mood cancer. But somexs I legitimately have cheesey arse speeches in my head. All rip streets 😭. I wish y'all luck. Idk what to say about the middle class or rich but I'm not too close to it though. Kinda, just at the bottom. & Oh well. Bc if only ppl were in other folks shoes. Anyways, tis y I'm always 🕊️or wever. Also I think my new motto that I'll forget in no time should be forget ur feelings. Remember ur worf. And I know I can't be doing all that if I even allow any bad opportunity to come at me, if my doors open. I'm pretty sure ppl just like to watch, just to lurk, just to project wever too. And tis y they too have to scadaddle

Now in my 30s the lyrics hit me like idk. back then it was only fun to listen, not knowing what it was supposed to mean.. years later I realize again how authentic and well-told most of messages in music were at the times. getting older is no curse, its rather a joy. when you start to realize that appreciation has such a nice and calming impact to your soul. so for example, I really can appreciate Nellys sung words nowadays. though my love rare, and though my love is true.

Same... Even the music video doesn't portray the depth of this song. Reminds me of "Take on me" by A-ha. Listen to that accoustic just once.. Lyrics dont match the energy of performance.
