Nelson College for Girls was set up in 1883 by the first woman to attend university in New Zealand. The school takes pride in excellent pastoral support, and it offers students many opportunities to explore outdoor activities with its close proximity to three national parks and some of the most unspoilt beaches with the clearest water in the world.
