I was Nelson rig fan before they supported the Chanel !!!!!

Very cool! I remember your massive Nelson Rigg tank bag!!!

I use their dry bags on my street glide instead of a tour pack. I have both sizes and love them on long road trips.

That's awesome!!! I have the 40L dry bag. They make good stuff!!!

Nice video. ❤ I'm rocking the new Rigg tank bag too! I haven't done a video on it yet. We went with a little smaller bags for off-road prowess. Cody has wanted bigger bags so he can bring the kitchen sink with.

Hey there Carl & Cody 🙂 Jason has a fantastic rackless system from Giant Loop on his bike: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ammzoJihg8yKqtEsi=wl_4aEMQRDlnQQ5v. But I just love the value of these Nelson Rigg bags! You can mount them without a rack if you get a muffler guard. And you certainly don't have to fill them! Which means you can roll them down to be a lot smaller! Best value out there, IMHO. Anyway, I got all my pieces in to wire my Tuareg fog light kit like you did. I'll let you know how that goes! - Chris
@WyomingFamilyAdventures2 ай бұрын
@@MotoPhotoAdventures nice. We love the fog lamps. Although cody already broke the mount on one of his lamps. Look forward to seeing yours Chris! I really like the mosko bags. They're definitely more durable than the ones we're using. Cody will probably replace his bags much sooner than me since he already rubbed a hole from the tire. Racked systems are definitely simpler and less likely to be damaged if you neglect to tie them.

Just found the channel. First video was your CB500X video the 2nd one. Interesting to see you on the Aprilia. What tires did you have on the CB500X and now the Aprilia? Thanks for the great videos! Subscribing for the down to earth videos and approach.

Glad you found the channel! Welcome!!! On the CB500X, I went through a variety of tires. But my favorite combination was the Continental TKC80 up front, and the Shinko 804 in back. On the Tuareg, I thought the stock tires were pretty impressive for street and light off-road. But spend a lot of time off-road. A friend gave me his "barely used" MotoZ Rallz rear tire. So I got the same for the front. It's a great choice for off-road...but a TERRIBLE choice for interstate. At higher speeds it "walks", causing an unsettling wobble. I'm told the better option for a front "off-road" tire is the DualVenture. So that's what I'll be trying next. I think I'll also be trying their Tractionator GPS in the rear. It's supposed to be descent off-road but much better on pavement and much longer lasting.

@ thanks for that info. I’m running TKC70 F and TKC70RocksR on my SuperTen1200. Not as much off-road as I’d like, but works well on the Hwy commute. Very interested in the TKC80F.

@@nsanerydah Yes! One of the combinations I tries was the TKC70 Rocks, which was great on pavement and descent off-road. I was pretty happy with it. I also wore out several sets of Shinko 705s. I found them to be just as good as the TKC70 at a much lower price. The only thing I would say is they don't grip very well when taking corners in the rain (ask me how I know!). Early on in my ownership of the CB500X, I didn't do much off-roading. So the Shinko 705s were fantastic! If you go back and watch my big adventure through Mexico, that's the tires I was using. And I had some VERY long days covering 500+ miles per day on pavement. One concern you have to consider is how heavy your SuperTenere1200 is. So knobby tires like the TKC80 aren't going to last very long. I would say the MotoZ Tractionator GPS tires might be a good option for you. Our friend Steve uses them on his big Africa Twin and loves them!

@@MotoPhotoAdventures is that for the front? I like how Conti does their line. Will look at the MotoZ Tractionator for the front.

Thanks, I agree NR is a super-value brand. I have a NR tail pack for my dirt bike, and a bike cover for my GS and they perform way above their price point. (I stay in motels and lodges so need the security of hard luggage so use Touratech for panniers.) Thanks again for an honest review.
@MotoPhotoAdventures2 ай бұрын
Right on! I still have my Givi hard panniers for "road trips". But these days the Nelson Rigg kit sees way more action!!!

Good video, I’m surprised you didn’t mention how the tank bag works when fueling. Some are a pain to unbuckle, but others are quick and easy, how would you rate this one? Thanks.
@MotoPhotoAdventures2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the reminder! Actually, you saw the clip at the end where I release the four buckles and walk away. Well fueling is super easy because I just release two of the buckles and let the bag hang off the side!
@DrGonzo-vq2zi2 ай бұрын
Do these flop around? They look a bit overloaded in the video. Debating on these panniers or the Giant Loop RTW. I like the price of these and you can do a bit more compartmentalization with the mole panels but the Giant loop stuff is super light and HUGE.
@MotoPhotoAdventures2 ай бұрын
Hey DrGonzo! They don't flop around at all. They are indeed a little over-filled. And they do stick out more than normal in my setup because I have them on that quick release plate. Plus the side we filmed on sticks out a little further due to the muffler. But if you strap them directly to your rack, they are a lot tighter and neater. Don't get me wrong, Giant Loop makes great stuff too. They have sponsored us with products to review as well. Check out our review of their Fandango tank bag, a direct competitor to the Hurricane Adventure tank bag we reviewed in this video. But for the price, Nelson Rigg seems to be of equal quality, but at a lower price...and can often be found on sale!
