I love the fold-up porch! So clever! I saw another tiny house with one that only used half of the width of the entrance and I wondered if it was somehow not feasible to make one that went all the way across and you did so! Makes all the difference when utilizing it as a deck. And a tiny mudroom right inside? Awesome! I was trying to imagine how I would design one of these babies and I had this very idea but did not know how to implement it. Great job.

You nailed it with that design of countertop. Not just the wood, which is beautiful, but how it makes it the focus of the house, just like the kitchens of old farm houses are the gathering and social places of the homes. Ingenious.

Amazing! I wish that there was a version with two full lofts, so a kid cold have his/her own space across from the parent's loft, but have the same square footage. I'd place it on a plot of land with an outdoor fire-heated bathtub, a gazebo with a matching roof to the house for summer eating, and a vegetable garden. Living the dream - and mortgage free relatively quickly.

Love tiny houses...this one is good, but don't care how the sink is positioned. Love the latter, the wet bath, the loft & fireplace.
@sandmanmod2410 жыл бұрын
I agree with this comment very much. I loved the ladder and loft areas but the sink position is awkward and bad for everyday use. The "entertainment" area looks uncomfortable and although I do like these heaters "Fireplace" that is the worst possible place to put it because I live in a RV with a propane heater like this and you don't want to be sitting right on top of it like that. They heat extremely well but if your body is that close to it then it gets way to hot before you can heat the rest of the house. The way that one is positioned it looks like it would even burn your legs lol. I know it may be a mute issue but the box they have the toilet paper in to keep it dry should really be plastic or something like that because wood isn't the best thing to use to keep things dry plus over time it won't last unless im wrong and it wasn't made of wood.

Thoughtfully planned small space. Can you reach the sink easily over the wood bit? Also, it's built to keep cold out. Does this foam wall fill also insulate the same against heat.....you mentioned Mexico? Are there different issues with heat? You use metal corrugate. Wouldn't plastic be better and prettier? Surely, reduced eaves make less drag when driving too...right? Nicely and playfully presented. Just love the work.

I like the self reliance angle. Have you considered a rainwater catch system? A gutter system and a larger water reservoir in the home combined with a water filtration system would allow for free (give or take filtration upkeep) completely potable drinking water. 135 square feet would be able to collect a little over 2,400 gallons of water each year if the home was getting the US average of 30 inches of rainfall per year and every drop collected was stored. That's 202 gallons of water available per month for "free" which gives an owner about 6.7 gallons a day. There are some caveats to that. Rainfall doesn't evenly distribute throughout the year, so there are heavy rain months and light rain months, meaning water from heavy months would need to be captured and saved for months with less rain. Even without the purification system the water can be harvested for gardens and such.

The double sink (17:00) doesn't look bad quality, but how it placed is not practical. Also, it would be much better to have bigger windows allowing more natural lighting enter indoor. It always the small details on designs that make a huge difference on functionalities.
