You should try using meringue powder to help the whipped soap keep its shape and you don't need very much. I think I used a 2 teaspoons for half lb of bath whip, kaolin clay, E.O./F.O., colorants( I lightly color mine for a more earthy pastel look.) And yeah (:: I hope the meringue powder peaks your attention enough to research and experiment ^__^ Love your content btw! ✨

This is a fantastic and very informative video, thank you!!!! I love that I’ve found someone that’s in Australia too! How are you supposed to calculate how much of the percentage of fragrance is needed in a recipe? For example if the fragrance said 15%, how do you calculate that?
@NelsonInteriorSoapery Жыл бұрын
The beast example is work on a 100% ratio and that means the whip is say 80% base, then 5% fragrance then 15% oils and they add up to 100. In Australia you are not really allowed to use more than 5% fragrance in body soap products but check the fragrance recommended usage rates

Hi Ronda, Just wondering if you think the pre-made base is better than the Etsy recipe you can buy?
@NelsonInteriorSoapery3 жыл бұрын
I do own that recipe to but honestly for a cost point it’s easier to just buy the base. Not much difference I think and similar ingredients .
@Lovelyhandz3 жыл бұрын
Hello Ronda, I know the pre-made base has a preservative in it, but would you ever add an additional one to your mixture?
@NelsonInteriorSoapery3 жыл бұрын
You can if you want. I don’t but if you do sugar scrub you may want to as you would be adding 500 grams of sugar. I don’t as my clients don’t want it. You are adding a very small amount of oil and no water so oil does not need presservitives hence why there’s lots of oil based recipes
@Lovelyhandz3 жыл бұрын
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery Thank you so much for your quick response, I honestly don’t want to have to add an additional preservatives, I’m trying to stay close to being as “natural “ as I can possibly be lol...again I appreciate your professional advice and love that you’re super transparent! Where might we find those cute plastic containers in the US?
@NelsonInteriorSoapery3 жыл бұрын
Hi Kathy . If you email the supplier I’m sure they will give you a link or assistance as to where to get them from. I actually got these from a plastic supplier that sells food containers so even a large plastic and paper food container company . In Australia a lot of our containers come from USA suppliers to start with
@elleskye85643 жыл бұрын
How do you work out the measurement from recommended percentage?
@NelsonInteriorSoapery3 жыл бұрын
so if the percentage you want to use is say 8% of the oil then the formulation is the amount of product (egsoap whip base) you are using then time by the % you want (this should be the suppliers recommendation for body products) then divide by 100 and thats the anwer.
@summabarling78863 жыл бұрын
Do you have the ingredient amounts if you were to do 5kg whip soaps? Thank you
@NelsonInteriorSoapery3 жыл бұрын
Hi there just times it all by 5 as this recipe is a 1kg and that’s all your ingredients . 5 kg whip base 5 table spoons avocado oil 10 tablespoons jojoba oil 1-5% fragrance but check supplier recommendations as per the fragrance you choose

@NelsonInteriorSoapery3 жыл бұрын
@@chloeireland7609 hi Chloe. Sorry I did not realise. There’s a big difference. This soap whip is basically soap that you wash off and body butter is a moisturiser that you massage into the skin and leave in. I will in time be bringing a moisturiser that has what’s called a water phase to but that’s quiet advanced to understand
@tsh51272 жыл бұрын
how do you keep it from not squeezing out of the top of bag? I seem to get this issue when I've tried making whipped soap, I don't do it anymore because it's just a mess and waste of product. note: I clearly don't bake so don't know that secret lol
@NelsonInteriorSoapery2 жыл бұрын
It’s ok. You are adding to much at once. You can wrap it in cling wrap first and that stops the mess but it’s still messy
