I was doing the flakes yeaterday on the gelli, then last night I thought I wonder if I can do this through a stencil. I wake up this morning and there you are answering my question! Yesterday, I rolled off my brayer on a piece of paper to clean up. Wow that made another awesome background. Thanks for your videos.

I'm in love with the crackle effect!!! and OMG the last pull with pink is amazing! This is a great video and tips for cleanup! I have the sheets, so what if I put one into a baggie and shredded it to make flakes? Just wondering where did you get that very large craft mat? Mine are too small and I have to use 2 to barely cover my workspace. BTW I love the 2 of you bantering in this video...very energetic and inspiring you are 😄

Awe thanks so much for the positive feedback Julie, I really appreciate that. Yes, the whole effect was really very cool. You probably could shred up the sheets, give it a try. The craft mat is sold by the FOOT and you can order it to cover your entire table, that's what we did. Nonstick Table Covering: shrsl.com/23tux

Did a few experiments with a 5x4 gel plate. Baby oil added a wavy effect-maybe I used too much! Liked it! I used this exact same product. I am finding that some of the foil bits are oxidizing, leaving dark marks on the print I can correct this, but is it air getting in the bag? I would like to avoid this as I really like the look, especially for collage. Thanks for all your great videos!
@ElizabethStHilaire6 ай бұрын
I am not sure why one would add baby oil? Someone commented about that but we did not do that in this video. I am not sure what the desired effect of that was? Is it the baby oil that is tarnishing the metal leaf?
@lindalacampagne54366 ай бұрын
@@ElizabethStHilaire Baby oil was used on the first print to ease removal of flakes. Was not really needed.This was posted in the “comments” section. Has nothing to do with the oxidation that appeared later on. Maybe Speedball will have an answer!
@ElizabethStHilaire6 ай бұрын
@@lindalacampagne5436 the metallic product needs to be sealed with a proprietary sealer to prevent tarnishing. And I would not incorporate baby oil into this process. We did not, anyway.

@@ElizabethStHilaireWhat is the sealer? I see where some of the flakes I have on my pulls are tarnishing. These never were touched by baby oil. I am contacting Speedball re: flakes tarnishing in the bag! I’ll keep you informed.
