@LeoBassCovers22 жыл бұрын
Oof, I made this video like 5-6 years ago. I sold this bass because I didn't like how it sounded, too metallic and the treble was just a bit much. Tried different strings but I could never get a good Tool tone out of this bass for some reason. So what you're hearing is probably why I sold it lol

hmmm, I personally don't hear it. I checked some live videos and Justin is only playing the chords live. I do hear the "taps", but I think it's just some noise from the guitar or something. Wouldn't make any sense for the bass to start tapping during such a heavy intro.

Apple Peel I am very late and by now you probably have gotten it but what I did was pick the low D string once and just keep hitting on the 2nd note and then letting it go so it could be an open note or 0 and then hit the two again but this time I’m not picking on it, I’m doing a pull off (I think that’s what it’s called) where I’m just holding the note and then I pull off the note to an open string. So what I did was continuing doing that and I didn’t worry about the high D string cuz I knew that would be confusing for me. So I just kept working on that and then when I felt ok with it, I did the pull off and quickly shifted the pick over to the high d string and played an open note or 0. Keep doing pull offs on the low D and try to hit the high d when you hear it or when it feels right. For finger picking, I can’t really tell you I just alternate my fingers and my fingers really do the work I don’t think about it. I hope that helped.
