This is one of the fundamental business techniques in Japan.
“Ne” means roots and “Mawasu: means to shift/move. So translation means moving the roots or shifting a plant with roots.
Application : Japanese believe in Decision Making Through Consensus. All the decisions are taken through this rout only. That is why their implementation is foolproof.
However, building a consensus takes time. It means many pre-meetings before the main meeting and a lot of give and take between the concerned parties. When the day of the final meeting arrives, all are in agreement and then the decision gets implemented fast.
About Yash Khetrapal: Yash has worked with the corporate world for more than 39 years, holding senior positions in big multinationals. His specialization lies in Leadership Training to senior functionaries along with other behavioral skills and technical Skills, which is backed by a broad experience in Supply Chain, Warehousing and Logistics and Cost Management, with shop floor exposure to more than 200 industries in India and Japan.
