Fun fact - The big boi crocodile was actually hostile towards everyone haha. I had to cut a lot of the footage of him because he just ended up attacking the Sobek while the Nemedians watched. This battle video was good practice on Thrall AI. I think battle formations can "kind of" work, the problem is enemies just walk around them. The Thralls will either chase and break formation or just stand idle while enemies attack the archers. I'm going to mess around with it some more, because I would love to have some army on army stuff. Conan isn't exactly built for that, but the challenge is fun.

If only Conan could live up to the kind of battles it implies.

Hopefully in the future! I'd personally like to see more substantial content in the next update rather than cosmetic.

This was the closest I've gotten to an actual formation working until the Sobek started just walking around the spearwall haha.

It was nice to see the captain face off against the Sobek leader at the end. What happens visually if you use still camera angles and shorter clips for the fighting. And retain the moving camera for the set-up and end of the film?
@dankujcreations3 жыл бұрын
I’m still learning about shots, but I’d like to try that. I noticed I tend to move the camera a bit too much during smaller battles which can be a bit jarring.
@Deliberateleo3 жыл бұрын
@@dankujcreations Moving the camera around too much isn't jarring, but it can be annoying because there is no clear subject we are supposed to look at and the thing we're interested in at the moment is likely to go off screen in the next. Try picking an angle near the edge of the fight around waist height and just watch what happens. If you decide to move the camera to another spot, edit that out. Run the same scenario multiple times from different angles and then splice them all together. An important thing to consider when choosing angles is to try and keep (at least at first) one group always on the right and the other group always on the left. That will help with continuity.

I call hacks on Nemedians! Have you gone against the Sobek in game? They have godlike life! lol cheers to you.

Haha I had to use heirs of north thralls because most died too quickly. I wasn’t expecting Sobeks to be so strong so I had to spawn a few more thralls.

@@dankujcreations well if you look at their armour, they have a health bonus and also they are like fully upgraded thralls of tier 3 and 4 but without the perks ig and add the obsidian weapons to the mix. I get purged by them a few times and it's not fun.
@dankujcreations2 жыл бұрын
@@tegamingother That makes sense why they are so strong haha. I remember Sobeks and Cimmerians always giving me a hard time on purges. For the videos, I usually test the NPC's now to make sure I can see how strong they are. I remember I had a really cool Samurai idea months ago that I tried to record, but the NPC's I used 1 shotted all of my thralls lol. I was so sad lol, I think I took like a week off.
