@@Joel38672 I have a fantastic rmc hybrid in my town, and live about an hour drive from Holiday World, the home of voyage, probably the finest wood coaster on earth. Still much prefer the silken smoothness of B&M's coasters, and prefer inverteds over all else. Ok, personal preference, but just do.

My dad queued in nemesis for almost 4 hours when it first opened in 1994, He said it was the longest he has had to wait for a ride, but it was so worth it. It rode it the second I was tall enough. Still one of my absolute favourites

That was the first time I had been to Alton Towers and I hadn’t been on a roller coaster for years, and the ones I have been on were only smallish. I’m not kidding, I passed out on Oblivion as soon as I hit the tunnel. My head was spinning 😅

Rode it twice in a row today (the day before the retrack) at night, with the fireworks display on in the background. One of the best rollercoaster experiences I’ve ever had in my life, can’t wait for the retrack!

Epic coaster, thrilling millions since '94. I remember it being covered in the local news the year it was being opened and it's incredible that it's held the top spot for best Alton Towers coaster for so many ever since. Nemesis inferno is so much better than this at Thorpe Park but considering it was made in 94 it starting to show tbh re tracking it is all well and good but the ride needs a refresh aswel

Wonderful footage of the Beast! Still easily my favourite coaster here in the UK. Hope to get as many rides in before the retrack as possible, but I have hope that Merlin and B&M themselves know just how important this ride is and will do it justice! I'd love to see the pit get a good clean up and the waterfalls fully restored as they are hardly ever on any more... the return of the blood red water would be the absolute icing on the cake. Its a shame about the roar, but I still reckon it will sound good and I'd far rather the ride was around for another 25-30 years than it be removed.... I don't think I'd visit Alton again if it was! Epic roller coaster!

Just been on Nemesis Inferno and I understand why people still debate over which is the better. They are very different beasts indeed, inferno seems more powerful but Nemesis is/was/soon will be more fun and an all time masterpiece of engineering. nemesis still gets my vote.

I went on this coaster as a way to finish off my day at Alton, and it was my second “big” coaster, because earlier I had just finished galactica, which technically was my first big coaster after hyperspace mountain around 5 years ago. Needless to say, I absolutely LOVED it, I was a bit nervous at first, but when I started flying around the forbidden valley, side to side, twisting and turning all in the span of 40 SECONDS, I couldn’t help but enjoy it.

If it is going upside down that you are afraid of, the good thing about Nemesis is that because of the speed it takes the inversions, you are pressed into your seat so it doesn't really feel like going upside down (no blood rushing to your head, etc.)

I’d definitely recommend going on galactica first then go on nemesis straight after. Galactica is really graceful and I’d actually argue that Th13teen and wicker man are more ‘thrilling’, plus galatica only has 2 inversions that are taken very smoothly, which should get you more prepared for the likes of nemesis and eventually, the smiler. For reference, the big 7 coasters at Alton towers can be divided into 2 categories: Th13teen, wicker man & galactica are on the same level of thrill, and then the likes of oblivion, nemesis, smiler & Rita are what I’d classify as ‘white knuckle’ thrill rides. Hope this helps!

from a 13 yr old boy (me) when you are actually on the ride, it Is just pure fun - it is completely normal to feel scared but in the long run you will most likely end up regretting your decision - I did this in the dark with my friend last October at 7 30pm - we couldn't see anything nevermind the hole! 😂 just do it, it's my 2nd favourite ride at the park (smiler is too good) ❤

One thing i remember about nemesis was how intense the G's were. And the first drop after the climb is just intense weightlessness that catches you off guard and makes you go 'oh fck'

Not a fan of this. It was ok, but really rough. The re-track they're doing next year is 100% justified to make it smoother. It was OK. The layout is good. But it's really jagged and rough and there's really only one good point - a right hand turn about half way through where you pull about 4 Gs. The G force on the rest of the ride is really low, but the ride is rough. The Smiler is so much better than Nemesis in my opinion! Decent G force, but so smooth!

I had my 4 best ever rides on Nemesis today. First 2 rides around 11am (front right then back left), final 2 rides around 3pm (front left then back right). I noticed the lucky perfect symmetry after (I was simply going for front then back). The very first ride front right was mental and my feet actually tingled for real. I didn't notice the tingle again after that but each ride was more or less the same level of intensity. Maybe the tingle is something you get when body isn't prepared yet?

My favourite UK coaster - my best day ever at Alton Towers was riding this coaster 64 times...32 times before lunch and 32 times after lunch (really loved that single rider queue). It's a POV I would have loved on my channel but have never had the opportunity to get footage - great video :-)

Yep - Madness to remove single rider queue. They only open the SRQ on Smiler when a 90 min+ wait is triggered by the queue monitor. But even then it’s sneakily positioned and not advertised.
