There are exceptions like T1 for example, but he's right. If I team doesnt succeed then rather than try to make it work, most orgs will just replace players which is sometimes good and sometimes not

There is no way or even a valid point to try building up something, when rules and conditions of the game change 10+ times during and between seasons !!! 99% of other sports do not change things on a whim whenever they want too => therefore you can try to build and develop something predictable with reasonable expectations for success !

idk if he at some point wants to play pro again, taking any deal for a split seems worth.. its been years, he is older so peoples idea of him will change and you have to work with people to get a good rep so yeah, even smurfing on a "shit" low placed team in winter and spring should be worth it imo

Yup, esports scene moves incredibly quickly, so at this point most people don't even remember that Nemesis still exists. If anything, they remember him as a streamer. If I was him I would have a manger be in constant talks to get him into LEC before it really is too late. He has been absent from pro play for too long, so he truly does need to prove himself on professional level again before top teams can truly consider him.

Then he will have offers next year on some teams who will want to build good rosters, like kcorp will have a good roster next year.

@@hplifer Because if he right now is getting only 1 offer from EU and 1 offer from NA. Next year he will get 1 offer for LFL and 0 for LEC. People in e-sports are gaining and losing popularity in a rapid tempo. His stream was noticed not because he was entertaining but because he was playing in the LEC at first now he only clings to his great gameplay on soloq but that won't last forever. Him not joining any pro league is unhealthy for his stream popularity in the future. No sane top 1-5 team is getting Nemesis in the future untill he proves himself on the scene again it's naive to think otherwise. On the other hand let the man do whatever he wants to but If I see him crying in 2 years that his career is joever then it will be fully deserved and if his viewers will see that there is no more chance of Neme representing their region they will stop with the support slowly. So I really hope that he tries atleast for 1 split.

Upside is in the competitive spirit, assuming it matters to him. He will make more than enough playing pro, and he gets to try to make a name in the comp scene. Streaming is a better option all things considered, but there is definitely value in going pro. Better die fighting than give up type of thing.

Thing is I dont see why else he would still be doing these kinds of grinds to improve, I mean shit Nemesis was rank 2 right up there with cracked 2k LP Chovy after just a small amount of time on a fresh account. The other streamers doing these KR streams are doing it for the subs/views, while you can tell Nemesis just wants high quality games. I can't imagine he'd favor the competitive aspect if he had no aspirations of going pro again, but I feel him for not wanting to join a bottom half western team when he's former FNC mid and respected by many top players when he already has the stream following he does
