Favorite monsters are those with simple concepts that can be turned into something terrifying. I’m thinking something like the weeping angel that only moves when no one is looking at it. The psychological effect on top of the gore that happens with those kinds of monsters are so good if portrayed well. For standard monsters though liches are pretty sweet

I think they count but Skaven from Warhammer. Specially Ikit Claw or Thanqual. Both power mad rat people. One is obsessed with making nukes and all sorts of fun little kill contraptions in a setting of bows and matchlock guns. The other is just high on warpdust constantly and scheming
