If I recall from the articles and videos during Worlds and even preseason, devs said one of the factors that affect how recommendations work is popularity. Meaning that there are a significant amount of people that actually start Q on Elise. I've seen it myself for many years whenever I leash for the jungler.

For me it really depends on the Elo you playing. I hated LoL (never flamed but was always pissed) Then i played HOTS and got better and played high elo games - it is just so much more fun to play with and against people who know what they are doing. And (mostly) don't tend to flame since they all enjoy the game and some failures are fine

Incase anyone is new here riot has literally never known how to play their game ever since it started its a coin flip as to if they could guess a good item for a champ or which way to level them lol this isn't anything new been going in for a long while so I suggest you check stats or one tricks for that info and don't bother with the recommended stuff

the item recommendations are so bad, idek how to describe it. Idk what it's actually based on, but it definitely doesn't consider game states and situational items. It also tends to recommend items that just aren't good or don't work. (like IE second on old patches)
