John Wick 3 got it right, unless you have appropriate AP ammo or are able to get into the gaps(which is quite difficult and is unlikely to result in anything more than bleeding unless you can get close and hold it at a weird angle), shooting at dudes covered head to toe in armor is isn’t to going to get you very far.
