Finally, getting to travel out of town and see a concert... this stoned 17 year old, back in 2000, got to witness this live and absolutely fall in love with live music. I'll never forget watching this show, right in front of Robin, and Trent violently jumping into the part of my crowd. I refused to shower for a couple days, as I was touched by my God, Trent fucking Reznor! Ps... also got to catch this little known of band, I think called "Perfect Circles" or something similar, open the show! 😋

The artist responsible for the video explains his approach and process on the dvd that accompanied the box set. If one doesn't know who Bill Viola is, he is a pioneer in video as a medium, and will be taught in art history classes 500/1000 years from now... This collaboration was perfect.

It's sad to see him in so much pain... especially knowing what he revealed during the last concerts- he wrote this and La Mer while "on the ocean" where he planned to kill himself. In this video, he is truly a tortured artist.

I was close to that in 2019..at the beach and had the thought. Shared it and my girls intervened. I dont knownhow to swim. Was just gonna walk out. 1st time ive talked about it in 5 years. And here i am..on a public medium. Most who know me would have no idea. He "saved me". Many moons ago. Realized i was not alone. NIN tatoo on my arm for decades to remind me of all that could have been. 5 years ago was a weak moment😔

I was lucky enough to see this live on this tour at Red Rocks. Getting to See my all time favorite band play in my hometown at the greatest amphitheater in the US was indescribable! I'll never forget the way I felt that night! Still gives me goosebumps.

@@frostjune6072 I grew up in Littleton which is very close to Morrison, Co. Where red rocks is located. My high-school's graduation ceremony was actually held at red rocks and I have seen many shows there, but NIN was by far the best concert I've ever been to at red rocks or anywhere else! I do feel extremely lucky that I got to grow up and spend most of my life in Colorado which allowed me such amazing experiences. I do hope you make it there someday and get to check that item off your list because it really is such a beautiful place. I miss living there very much!

The only full version of La Mer from AATCHB on youtube...and that's the best version of La Mer NIN has ever played. I'm so glad I saw it live on this tour. I only wish the sound on this were higher quality...sounds like it was sampled at a lower rate. I appreciate the post though.

it's truly one of the most sincere compositions written, performed, and displayed i think of our generation. It is one of the songs that has helped define my life and thoughts. It encourages you and almost challenges you to feel according to whatever you can associate this sequence to. From where I was seated, the panels looked like they were head level at first, which I thought was a safety issue. And then they started moving and I thought for sure that someone was going to be crushed. Then I realized that I was high and learned to love the show. More than any other live show that I've ever seen in my life ever. It was the experience of a lifetime. Then my friend jumped down onto the arena floor and was quickly grabbed by security. And I was back to thinking about safety issues. I was apparently the Reuben Feffer of my time.

Finally found a decent priced AATCB set a month ago. Like the fact that there is music and eerie sound effects on the menu screens, and dark artwork. This is are very well mixed DVDs. Listening to this concert in surround is the way to go. If you get the DTS discs then you will have an even better listening experience granted you have a DTS capable sound receiver. Yes some of the footage is dark but that really sets the mood.

@williamcardno also he drew these concepts from his journal. Which he hasn't done since. Mostly because he wanted to get away from it. I love the other album, and his ability to progress. Trying new things scare musicians that made them famous because they'll lose fans. Yet he did and I still love his music

@CovenantFan Trent Reznor was never a heroine addict. He did not start out as nothing. The day Trent breathed, his flame within began the process. We all have it in us.
