Great reaction and welcome back to Nemophila. Been awhile. This is one of my favorite bands the past few years and it was fun seeing them live last month in Texas. Damn good show. This song kicks ass and it is not even their best. 2 albums out now both top notch with variety. They are all very good musicians and put out great music all the time. Lots of fun to watch them too. They are always full of smiles and having good time. Just a hell of a good metal /rock band and they are only getting better.

This band was my gateway to Japanese female metal. But it’s mainly Saki’s catalog of work with Marys Blood kept me there. Saki, Midori and Miyako are my top 3 favorites from Japan.

I saw them in New York and was about 15' from the stage right speakers and it was the loudest concert I have ever been to, the bass was stupid strong. It was an amazing show for sure. And I even caught a pick from Hazuki, and as Dave says, for some reason it made everything even more special catching this little piece of plastic. Can't wait to see them again. Peace

JOE!! it was great to meet you before and after the show in NYC. agreed, loud show and they were amazing! I was 2nd row side rail in front of SAKI and man she's awesome. that whole show though, I never realized the power that tiny Tamu has haha, she was amazing. all of them were on point and the sound was fantastic. loved that show, it was a great day. see ya at another show! :) Seeing eye to eye with Hazuki as they walked past the line late in the afternoon was awesome, everyone else missed them until I yelled out NEMOPHILA!! and they all turned and waved as they were under the Marquee at that point, haha. will never forget how I could tell Hazuki was smiling at me for locking on to her and knowing it was her. haha. they almost got by un-noticed. ❤❤🔥NEMOPHILA🔥❤❤

@@michaelmunno Gotta say meeting you and hanging out before the show was so much fun, after the show I was hanging out front talking and they came strolling out and I called out and Saki waved . it was really such a fun night. And for sure this band is best consumed LIVE. Hope to see you at Baby Metal in Sept.

@@joeseconi250 I knew i should have stayed talking to you and waiting for Jaelin longer outside after the show! IDK why I assumed they were long gone from the theater already by then. I had been on my feet since 11am and had not eaten all day, so I really wanted to go sit down, grab a beer or three and some gyoza, lol. Next time I will wait longer haha. looking for work right now, so IDK what my budget will be the rest of the year yet. Depends on how long it takes me to find a new job. Next up for me is Band-Maid in Charlotte NC in a few weeks. Long drive each way, but excited to see them again. looking forward to the next time we get to chat and hang out.

Solid reaction to a solid in your face rock tune. Interesting fact: Acura actually used this song in a series of ads that I assume were written for the Japanese market (I've never seen them on American TV) but which I have sometimes seen before You Tube videos. The ads are actually a multi-part series that tell a Speed Racer type story about a female race car driver (even deeper interestingly fact, the character's model and name are actually based on the Stage Left guitarist Saki - no idea if she ever drove a race car for real or if its just a bit of fun fantasy, but the character is clearly supposed to be her). So if you love this song and/or like Speed Racer you might want to search You Tube for "Nemophila Acura Ad" (just for fun, not as a reaction). Only quibble, the pronunciation is "Neh-MOE-feel-ah" or Neh-MOE-fill-ah" - it's actually a Greek or Latin word that is the scientific name of the flower native to Western North America that is commonly called Baby Blue Eyes which was heavily imported into Japan in the years after WWII and became very popular over there. The band's logo is actually a Nemophila flower.

This is one of my favorites of theirs too. And I've heard most , if not all, of their originals. Raitei, I think , means thunder, which fits it very well. Love Mayu's vocals, and Tamu Murata is awesome on the drums. Their channel does have an official live for this song.

Nemophila Never blocks, so no worries with them. The encourage it and even mention other reactors (Like Old Mr. B). During their US tour, they said to the audience that were there because of KZbin. They are still independent so no big label corporation controlling things. Other Japanese bands are following suit (Like adding subtitles and more video output). Gacharic Spin are even having a contest for reactors to react to their new video "Kachi-kachi Yama" .

I believe by the time I requested this (Oct 10, 2021) there wasn't a live version yet. (even if there was, I wasn't the the original requester, only the second). The live stuff from them, not just this song, is pretty great. I also usually roll with live over music videos, unless I want to introduce a band to someone new or a music video that invocates nostalgic feelings because it was my introduction to a band (I'm weird like that). It's still one of my favorite songs from them, the very first one too (lucky that youtube recommended it to me on the release day too).

Tamu, the drummer is well respected in Japan. When you think of just how many quality drummers there must be in Japan, that is a great compliment to her skills. I believe she has played for jazz musicians previously. I enjoy this song because it does not have too much scream and growl from Mayu. That may sound rather strange as for many it is that part of her vocal that draws people to Nemophila. I don't dislike that singing style from Mayu but for me, it has taken the edge of some of their songs. I guess a little higher with your score even closer with your adjustment. 😀
