You touched on what makes Nemophila stand out within the current cohort of female Japanese metal/rock bands. The use of the 7 string guitars and 5 string bass coupled with Mayu's fry screams instead of the more standard growls lets them stand out a lot more. If you don't want this particular song to end Nemophila is slowly uploading solo shots of each member. So far they have the guitarists Saki and Hazuki uploaded. The only 2 I worry about not getting their own videos are Murata Tamu (drums) and Haraguchi-san (bass) since they are on the same platform.

Their stylist was trying to evoke 90s LA, apparently. I think they succeeded. A new song from a two year old band and it's already an instant classic Nemophila track.

Do you feel properly revived? This structure is Meiji Centennial Observation Tower, which "is in the south east corner of Tokyo bay. It's actually in Futtsu park in Chiba prefecture," to quote @paul anderson If you are interested why it was so windy during filming, then you should know that this was done after a typhoon. These were remnants of it. This song made another day brighter for me, to be honest. Lots of energy and great musicianship and Mayu´s vocals are the cherry on top. It is really great, for instance, how they put together that visual of her running with such guitar riff and galloping drum section (her legs are going through an intense work-out session) not to even mention what Haraguchi is doing there. The almost non-chalant expression on Hazuki´s face while she does her solo like it is nothing. And Saki did one of her favourite whammy bar bends (one of my other favourite ones is in Mary´s Blood´s "World´s End", but that is not important, right now) to open the solo part.

Hi there. Thank you so much for your comment. That is actually a very valid opinion and it was actually one of our first considerations as well. If you would humor me for a little bit I will gladly explain why we opted to not go that route. I am absolutely passionate about music, this is true and started a music school about 4 years ago doing my best to inspire young kids to pick up an actual instrument and start playing music. I deal with lots of second hand gear and have spent the last 10 years building up my collection of instruments. Some of these instruments have a tremendous amount of sentimental value but aren't actually worth a whole lot in terms of selling them on the second hand market in SA. However, I did some calculations and if I sell every single guitar and amp that I own I would potentially be able to get around $5000 to $6000 out of the lot of it. And yes that would definitely be able to get some sort of PC going and potentially a dedicated camera, but that would be 10 years of trading deal hunting all gone and all of that I can deal with, but seeing the face of a teenager light up and seeing them get inspired when they walk into a room full of shiny guitars and seeing how hard they practice and how much effort they put in to their music so they can also one day start getting their hands on cool instruments that they can actually play is simply a gift to them and to myself that I am not willing to give up for something as simple as a PC and a camera that will be out of date in 4 to 5 years. I take extremely good care of the instruments that I have collected over the last 10 years and most of them have either been discontinued or simply aren't available anymore, so I cherish them and I am absolutely blessed to be able to own them and if I can inspire one or two kids while playing these instruments and having them play them to get them interested in music etc. Then it is all worth it. I doubt any PC would be able to do that... That is why we figured that we could at least ask for some help. We are most definitely going to be putting in capital from our side as well, but with the help of the fans we believe that we can create some really awesome content for everyone to enjoy and if we get to share great music on this channel and have people discover new bands or maybe have some new bands discovered by talent agencies then we will be the happiest people out there. I hope this shines a little bit of light on our intentions and dreams.

When are you going back to NEMOPHILA again? They will release their first full-length album in 10 days (17 Dec) and their latest digital release HYPNOSIS is a banger. This song is unique with Arabian vibes but with heavy NEMOPHILA sound. In this song instead of guitar solos as their normal song would be, their bassist Haraguchi-san (composer of Hypnosis) imagined to have Tamu playing couple of traditional percussion instruments (Taiko drums etc.) since she knew Tamu's percussion knowledge and ability. However, upon receiving the midi, immediately Tamu got to work and submitted two drum lines, one was just like her normal days at work and the other was more intense with extra fills and solo. Haraguchi-san was very impressed and during the recording rehearsals, Saki decided to try and incorporate Tamu's second options and further arrangement made them fully opted for Tamu's intense drumming. Here is the link kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWjMd2R4j5hpmbc ...just listen to how hard she goes after her drum solo section with intense fills and harmonic beatings in the rest of the rhythm sections all the way towards the end.
