Nemophila, Band Maid and Lovebites deserve much much bigger arena..... seriously.....

Band Maid is starting to get it at least when they were recently here they moved them from a 500 to a 1500 venue that is in Dallas. But you are right all three groups are impressive and deserve larger venues. I'm hoping Lovebites tours the US soon. The only problem with large venues it's not as intimate but the band get well deserved more money.

Just considering those 3 bands you mentioned, I'm amazed by the level of talent and skill in all three. Each member of each band is strong. By contrast, one of my fav childhood bands, GnR, people will talk about Slash, but not Duff or the drummer, and I can't even name all the members of Pearl Jam. Maybe it's because they're pretty Japanese women, or maybe it's because I appreciate their skill, but I can name all the members of these bands. I think I'm the target fan base for these Japanese bands- Western, used to be a musician, was into 80s/90s rock/metal, loves stuff from Japan. 😂

Well, let's see...two of the bands do not voice their lyrics entirely in English; they're all-female bands (more or less) in genres that traditionally have very limited acceptance levels for such bands (the Girlschools and Iron Maidens of the world are exceptions, not the norm); the genres that they represent are seen as passe; they have the audacity to be non-white and to come from a "foreign land". (You may ask, what about Rammstein -- they play primarily metal and come from a foreign land; true, but they are male, and white, and bring a large, established fan base with them, AND, considering the relationship between English and Old German, they are not all that "foreign"). Now back to the Japanese groups that you mentioned...let me say that, even given most of the points above, the North American music, entertainment media and promoters have little vision, even fewer guts, and should know that, if you don't give exposure to a genre *surprise* building a large audience of fans is virtually impossible. Self-fulfilling Prophesy 101. I know that it's still Winter, and that your heads are nice and warm in the places that you have them, but...get your heads out of your as__s, do the right thing, find some courage (see the Wizard if you have to) and give these Ladies the legitimate chance that they deserve!

@@pappysheart6710 Not really a surprise. With each generation that passes, it gets easier to learn perfect technique, from the plethora of mediums available for the very young age to learn.tthen there is the transition through so many sub genres, with which to put music together of more intricate quality - it's a natural passage, it doesn't matter whether they were women or men. In fact, it doesn't Even matter how old they are. *Each of these bands are impressive, but the reason why there isn't a larger venue, is because there isn't a large audience in the West. There is a reason why we don't see many Western bands performing metal any more… It died out 25 years ago, grunge took over… Then electronic music and hip-hop and then the hybrid ooverly produced trash that the vast majority of people under 30 "Still" like nowadays… Rock and Metal became all completely lost and unsalvageable after the reality TV experiments(Pop Idol and X Factor) and the lack of grassroots bands getting any popularity, or audience as a result, and therefore drying up. We are all in a minority and half of us are over 40

For those complaining about sound. Really?? This it not a official pro-shot with a inline soundboard mix. It's a camera with a mic picking up the sound that is closest. (Prob a phone) .. Although, I do see "Tiny the Tech" was having some issues with Saki's gear.. It was put up for those who are not there can have a chance to see them rocking. Thanks Jay!! 🤘🏻🎸😋

Clubs like this is where Band Maid performed in the US and Europe for years. Nemophila will have to do the same, except They will get to larger venues a bit quicker. Those of us who have been Japanese Rock/Metals fans for years will spread the word. Today, a waitress who said she was a rock fan, Led Zeppelin. I told her there are beautiful Japanese Ladies who would blow Page off the stage. Gave a list. Will a report from in a day or two.

Also, based on where he is, he's right on front of the house speakers, so he's getting 100% if Saki's Amp... I was on the other side right in front of Hazuki and could barely hear Saki. It's a sacrifice we make to be on the rail. For the SF show I was on the rail dead center and the mix was brilliant (albeit bass heavy but that was a house issue)
