Does the Ultra Ball look like it's opening? It looked that way in the video. The fully evolved starters have nice sizes for Nenderoids. Once again, great review. Presentation speed is getting better :).

50 extra dollars for less stuff for red? I think I'll just get the original. Sure, the fully evolved starters are cool, but I'm shopping for a figure of red, not the starters, epsically since I'd only use one for display. Still, Nice review!

It's a shame not all toys are made to this quality or play-ability anymore, it seems like the entire toy industry has taken a step back over the years to equate for profit over quality. Things like this shouldn't cost $100. A good example is the Transformers and how they went from amazing transformations with actual interior detail and lack of kibble to glorified bricks with everything stored on the back.

These aren’t really toys, they’re intended for display and collecting. The build quality is a lot higher than toys intended for play and have a fairly high tech manufacturing process adding to the cost as well as nice paint and materials. This set is a pretty great price by nendoroid standards, seeing as a single nendoroid is $40-$60, you’re basically getting 4 for $100. I have the set and it’s incredibly high quality for what you’re getting. But yeah not really a product designed to be tossed in the toy bin.

You'll be paying, on average ebay prices, that's ~$395 with the D-Arts Charizard or $295 with the SHF. This set is only $100. Are these the best of the best? No, but compared to the alternative, it's a solid deal.
