NENDOROID vs FIGMA

If someone asked me to describe figmas vs nendorids in simple terms I go do u want screen accurate(minus the ball joints and size) and possible go figma or chibi with more options go nendorids. As for me it's case by case I tend to lean more towards figma as less parts and they look closer to mini possible statues (and are more affordably then a lot of scale figures) but my collection atm is more nendorids due to there being way more character verity, my favorite character of all time meltlilith from fate only has 2 options for figures a 1:8 scale figure which is $400+ or the nendorid which at market (since I pre ordered her) was around 60-70 due to her coming more more parts and more possible legs compare to other nendorids. With no figma I got her nendorid. No shade on nendorids they're cute as hell and I still got some even if they have a figma version such as Snow Miku 2022 (well I got both but point still stands.

This is true. If one wants a more accurate action figure, might as well choose FIGMAS. Nendoroids usually win because of how cute they look but sometimes they feel weird like how they made a nendoroid of Kratos or the ugly looking Joker. >_< I can't understand how people chose their nendo versions versus their figma versions but i guess, preference is the answer haha! Tho figmas nowadays got a lot expensive. Same as buying basic looking scaled figures. I wish they didnt raise the price too much. T^T anyway, point taken! Thank you for your inisights buddy. @@GrianyBunchIt's the name of good smile action figures able to be posed. S.H.Figarts are also a line of posable figures by Bandai. The name is that a name but the name does help to find what types of figure they're good at making. Figmas are great for slice of life animes (least to me) with few exceptions like Fate, but S.H.Figuarts are better for action anime like Dragon Ball. The line also determines which anime they make figures for. Some like chainsaw man have both a figma and S.H but Dragon Ball is only S.H while Fate has figma(course the is talking about just figmas and S.H cause they're other lines. TLDR figma is a name for line of action figures.

I actually like FIgma more. But the price keeps rocketing. I still remember the good old days when Figma was only around USD50 or so. Now, it's TWICE and even MORE -.-'

I always say kudos to the people who prefer Figma over Nendoroids because they are just not for me I've only had nightmare experiences with my Figma, pieces never stayed on well, posing them ways felt incredibly stiff to me, and they were 100% authentic! Some Nendoroids can be a pain to pose but at the same time I feel like I have more control over them because of the bigger pieces unlike tiny Figma pieces I'm also not a fan of the exposed ball joints on Figma In the end I gave my Figmas away and I've always been a Nendoroid lover and they've kinda taken over my collection as of recent

I personally collect Nendoroids because they take less space than figmas and my room is pretty small ~ I also like how much cuter they are and also, most of the characters I like don't even get figmas, but do get Nendoroids so it's also about accessibility ! Since I live in the UK, all the Nendoroids already cost as much as a figma when they arrive to me, that means figmas cost like double that Σ(ＴωＴ) Team Nendoroid!

Omg Nendos costs the same as figmas there!? VERY EXPENSIVE! KUDOS for collecting nendoroids despite the price. I do agree with nendos getting more characters compared to figmas tho.

nendos are definitely my go to figures if i feel like buying cutesy stuff. The big eyes are just soooo irresistible to look at haha! Tho i really hate it when posing them because of how small the limbs are. also i keep on losing accessories 🤣🤣

Definitely! Most of the figmas have the same faceplate sizes. I think they have the same concept as nendoroids.

One thing I still can't figure out, is how to remove the plastic sheets from Figmas? For example: my Seto Kaiba Figma had plastic bags covering his trench coat pieces, which I tried removing to take the bags off, but the ball joints were on really tight, and I didn't remove it, out of fear of breaking it. If you know how to remove the plastic bags on figmas, that would be a big help.

I only have one figma so idk if I can help you that much but from my experience, if the part has a protective film or plastic, it's possible it can be popped off the main bory. So you have two options. If the figma part has a ball joint, you can manually pull it off from the main body to cleanly get the plastic or just tug the plastic away from the figma. The plastic is tuin anyway so it's very easy to rip ✌️

@@JennySupremo Good to know, thanks. I saw a video of someone trying to remove the plastic film from their Black Rock Shooter figma, and broke the ball joint between the upper body and the torso. Which is why I decided to not try separating the body, since BRS figures are extremely rare and hard to find nowadays. Plus it was given to me by my Mom's sister as a souvenir during her visit to Japan.

@@JennySupremo IKR! Which is why I always baby my anime figures, since they're expensive, and not easy to replace. So when I tried using light force to separate the upper and lower body, and it still wouldn't come apart, I decided: "Better not pull too hard in case it breaks." and thankfully mine didn't break.

Tatito figures are kinda base by base from what I noticed some are good, some not so much. I would recommend avoiding sites like Amazon or Ebay to figure buy especially if you are newer to figure collecting. For sites I use ukiyo kumo or Lunar toy store(I live in the us) but there's many others. Always before buying try to do research to see if you will like the figure or if fakes are around.

Hi Abby! I'm really sorry for the late response. >.< I used to buy my Miku figures from The Phantomdibs. It's an online shop. However, they are already closed. Nowadays, I buy over facebook. From different small retailers such as Otaku Rush PH and OtakuHobbiToys PH. Mostly shops that are exclusive in PH too. If you're living outside PH, I guess I could recommend Collector's Haven and ANOTOYS. They ship worldwide but kinda pricey hehe

nendoroids are cutesy type of figures so they don't make miku figures that are showy. If you're looking for taller figures tho, try from sitting miku figures by furyu. the noodle stoppers. or ones done by banpresto
