what a crying shame - surely it could have been re-used for something? Max Griggs might as well have burnt 30 million quid at the bottom of his garden!!!

Smashing little Ground, went there with Bristol City in 2003. A real waste to see it pulled down.

Went there with my Dad in 2006ish against Wrexham. Cracking ground and seeing this is really sad. I believe that the late Mr Griggs left a legacy to the new owners and boy how they wasted it. Shocking!

very sad that this can happen to a club, devastating for the local community. I was there new years day to see my Shrews get torn apart 5-1. Away end sold out that day. Looked a lovely little ground.

Looked like a good stadium, can’t see why their owner didn’t sell it on.

Someone has to want to buy it for that to happen. Nobody could afford the upkeep so he couldn't give it away.

What a bloody shame to see a lovely ground like this go under and a football too .i went there with bromsgrove rovers in the late 90s I think it was and thought what a fab ground it even had chandelier s in the entrance now look at it surely some non league club could have use the materials to make ther ground better total waste

What a joy it was to see it being built and the thrill of getting in to the Football League. Now I feel like weeping to see such a magnificent stadium - the envy of many league clubs - being bulldozed and lost forever. Thanks for this film Ryan.

Shocking how the club could go from League 1 to bust in a few years. Griggs’ legacy was that it can never be used for housing, although who wants to bet someone will find a way round it knowing the brown envelopes that councils are renowned for...

I remember in 1973,i watched one of the greatest matches in this club's history,to get promoted to League One after a buzzing score of 6-1 against Sheffield Fc.Unbelievable,i was a diamond until 2011 for around 60 years,i was depressed that year when my club got disolved!May this stadium be remembered!Total shame it had to be bulldozed..
