Notice how the base overwhelms the violins for most of the song, demanding you focus on them, and refusing to let the violins take the spotlight for long. Bowser has always used loud instruments in his themes; when he's used right, he's hard to ignore. Antasma is obviously the violins, cunning and threatening in a way the bros don't often deal with, clearly showing off. But at the end of the day, like the music in the castle he made for the Koopa King, he's being eclipsed by Bowser, and doesn't even notice it. Bowser's betrayal was foreshadowed in this song, and we didn't even notice.

I still think the betrayal was kind of pointless and stupid because it didn’t really do anything for the plot and came out of a literally nowhere but I guess you’re right either that or you’re looking way too much into this so I would give it a 50-50 shot😂

@@barelyhere7200 I thought it was obvious. Bowsers never been the kinda guy to be overshadowed. Never plays second fiddle. Any time a greater threat emerges he either teams up with Mario to defeat the threat and reestablish the status quo or he’ll hide his time till an effective betrayal can be made. Bowsers a brute but he’s also an egotist. Wether or not the original comment is or is not looking to far into it, it’s still entirely in bowsers character to betray antasma.

@@AnimatedTerror I get what you’re saying but the betrayal is still completely unnecessary. Also dream team probably would’ve been way better Bowser wasn’t even in it in the first place. The problem is Bowser overshadows Antasma. Nobody wants that! Bowser is already the main villain of the Mario series and he’s the main villain of every main line Mario game which is why he shouldn’t be the main villain in the RPG‘s. At least in my opinion anyway

Man, out of all the themes for the Mario and Luigi games for the final area, I think this one falls the shortest. Well, I don't remember the one from Paper Jam, so maybe that one's more underwhelming. But yeah, this one just doesn't hold up to what the previous games had, especially Inside Story.
