Excellent teaching. I study Bible 32 years in two languages: Russian and English, myself 57. My heart rejoices, when I hear another of brother Andy Woods teaching, that never goes off the true Biblical understanding of things. We, Russian Baptists, also don't accept Calvinistic stuff, we are pre-trib and premillennial. Because we try to study Bible, instead of studying Calvin of some radio teacher like Steve Gregg, who is a preterist and popular now among those, who don't read their Bibles.

Someone has needed to do this critique of Calvinism for so long. I was influenced by neo-Calvinists about a year after I got saved and I came out of it an exhausted, confused legalist with zero understanding of Bible prophecy and no assurance of salvation. It shut down the power of God in my life and damaged my relationship with Him. I read The Coming Kingdom by Andy Woods and it truly fed my soul and opened my eyes to the entire Bible. It's so obvious when you see it. Calvinism has so many blind spots and produces legalistic, self-righteous people with the wrong narrative. They are so caught up in themselves and absorbed in their own little circles that they think they are ambassadors of all Christianity. But honestly, they are really bad teachers. Like really bad. I am thankful to be free from that world. Now I see the clear gospel of grace and Bible prophecy in its purity. And it's so satisfying and liberating. I have assurance of salvation and hope for the future.

Thank you for this much needed study. I grew up in a calvinist church and I did not get saved until I was 41, never once did I hear the gospel clearing being proclaimed, on top of that they never spoke on important topics like creationism and certainly not prophecy. What a disgrace to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. It's sad how many folks sitting in pews are on their way to hell. I really appreciate how the Lord is working through Pastor Andy and SLBC to give us solid biblical teaching in these final days before the rapture ✝✈⛅

What do they, Justen Peters and John McArthur, then say/do about infant baptism? Then later at an older age they are to do their "Profession of faith" and then they still leave their church/faith/ etc...regardless of when they were/are baptized.

It is truly disheartening to hear teaching that would throw the whole of sound biblical doctrine into total disarray because of eschatological differences. This is not only disheartening but extremely dangerous. Any elevation of things that are not very clear above those things of elementary understanding is, again, dangerous at best. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. I choose to come to the Lord's table for the "who" and not the "what".

It's very clear. Extremely clear. Just as it was for the early church until Augustine came along and taught his false view. It's not clear to you because you've most likely been influenced by Calvinism and share their myopic view. This comment reeks of self-righteousness and superiority. 'I don't bother with such small issues as eschatology, and anyone who divides on this is dangerous. I care more about unity because I know what is truly important. Look at me everyone. See how wonderful I am compared with this teacher.' Silly. And seek first what kingdom? In context, the Messianic kingdom prophesied about all through the OT. That kingdom will come when Jesus returns. We need to understand the kingdom to seek it. Do we not?
