The micro Vent 16 simulates the classic guitar leslie with a 10 inch speaker into a single drum rotor. Yes, we are talking about the vertically suspended magic of the Fender Vibratone. The algorithm simulates capturing the Vibratone with one mic and the distance from the cabinet is variable. Compared to the micro Vent 122, the micro Vent 16 sounds less complex and dominant. It is perfect for rhythm work and for giving lead tones the final touch.

Dingo it sounds very close what i hear with headphones. I owend the Mini Vent from the same brand and it was the closest emulation i ever heard. The hardest part for emulations is the slow speed and the singing high speed, that typical worble/swirl without sounding detuned.

You would have to if you needed to take it to a gig though ? Carrying a Leslie around is a bit hard these days

most Leslie pedals miss a wet/dry signal mix option. This pedal has it. I can't stress how important that is; the modulation you guys hear in the demo can get very dominating in a band/mix live situation. Being able to dial back the wet signal without giving up the depth/shimmer is a big big deal.

I sold my Fender Vibratone at Willie's American Guitars using their consignment program. The day it sold they told me that a couple of guitarists were shopping together and tried every single chorus & vibrato pedal in the joint (talking maybe 12-15 pedals on any given day). Well the report back was that the Fender sounded WAY better than any of the facsimiles. Not a bad review

@@solarflaresmusic9267 yeah, no one should ever challenge pricing...except, these models both predate this packaging in the earlier and more expensive Vent unit. Neo should have just priced them at $2k/each; I mean, why not? "You get what you pay for"🤔

The previous rotary speaker effects from Neo Instruments have been stereo, but this Micro Vent is only mono so it's really more like a mix of chorus and tremolo. Mini Vent II can be bought for the same price and has true stero output, but it doesn't have any knobs (parameters can be adjusted through edit mode with buttons) and is slightly bigger. Ventilator II is the biggest, most advanced and most expensive one with stereo input, stereo output, and physical knobs for easy adjusting. The only reason for buying Micro Vent is if you are NEVER planning to use a stereo effect, but IMO that makes it pretty much pointless since the coolest thing about Leslie is having the two "speakers" (horn and drum) physically moving at different rates. In mono you still get the natural chorus effect, but you'll need stereo (two ears/mics) to capture the 3D effect.
