To my observation Happy treats Warcraft related interviews as collar job interviews or something of the sort. If someone on those asks you a personal question - you avoid answering that. If someone asks about your opinion of your tasks or the state of your position - you avoid answering that or give only positive feedback. And the interviewer doesn't actually hold position of power over you and that changes the dynamic a lot and Happy is free to deflect or straight up refuse to answer questions. And then the negative feeling which I have is that Undead is balanced around Happy and is being nerfed while any (even 'decent', not 'top' mind you) player suffers greatly due to UD being in an unfavorable spot in some matchups which require sharp timings to use the race's power-spikes.

I read comments about how this due to his English skills and on other saying nah, he's the same in Russian. I looked up not so old Russian interview with him. And he is definitely different. He is much open and talkative in Russian, even kind of cheerful here and there. So this is absolutely English languange skill barrier (or he hates you, foreigners =)) I've seen video about similar effect about Asian students. Teacher talked about stereotype about Japanses being shy and quite, and it appears just to be about language barrier (and also they are very different among themselves). When you aren't fluent, don't use a lot of words, not really familiar with common phrases - you can get like this. I definitely would talk similar to him cause I too don't practice speaking English, while understanding any piece of media in it (visual/audio and even cultural)

Happy seems to simply treat it as a professional endeavour. He wants nothing to do with the social aspect of the game, nor the trolling and silliness that goes on with most of the community. Warcraft 3 is his job, and tournaments are a large portion of his salary. That's what it is, and he handles it perfectly. If anything, I view Happy in even higher regard after watching this. Dmitrii, if you read this for whatever reason, keep doing what you're doing. Big respect to you.

Happy is reliable and stable, making it a great benchmark and challenge for other players to try and beat like a puzzle almost, or playing chess vs computer. I feel like this makes the match more interesting to watch. Because of Happy always playing 110% and being consistent. You might be rooting for the other guy, but you watch because it's vs Happy. It's weird to explain.

Hey, Neo. The reason that athletes don't want to talk about the game in interviews is because they don't want to give away their strategies or insights or anything close to it. It's common, actually, and usually interviews will ask about how the person feels more than not because of it, which means a lot of interviews are completely mediocre because a lot of people do not want to talk about how they feel so publicly.

I think people should take patch as a variation to a game "something new" rather than hoping to see a "fix" of the "broken game" which its definetly not. And if you believe there's a far stronger advantage playing different race. Well play that one if you believe you're skilled enough of a 'beast' I mean noone forces you to play 1 race. And if you not, well you're either worse player or the 'advantage' is just not so significant as you believe. TBH a lot of sports interviews are like this --- if they ask about strategy, the player doesn't want to leak anything, so they deflect if that happens, so interviews tend to focus on feelings and etc and some people just don't feel the way that others do, they're not all hyped and excited, they're there to play and win. That said, Happy does remind me of some "damaged" people I've met where they're just so adverse to opening up to people due to past troubles and take it far too far and end up coming across as shitty people when all they need is some personal growth.
