Honestly the plateless configuration sounds the best to me while the green with Resonance comes in second with great looks. The ability to chose two different colors for top and bottom case is really amazing. Thinking back on how much the Tiger80Lite was and now in 2024 we have the Neo80 for the same price. I can't wait to see what their Alice looks like.

I have been quite impressed by the design work on Neo80. One keyboard packed with different mounting styles, plate design, pcb options, quick assembly and disassembly option that lead to different sounds profiles. They really put a lot of thoughts into the design of this board

amazing as usual, usually the typetest is the highlight of most reviews, yours its almost a letdown when the showcase and options are over and we move into soundtests. love the options and showcase and personal thoughts. i have never been a tkl guy but am very tempted after this video

@@JuzSayWooo Haha I can relate! I guess "best" would be difficult to define and highly subjective, but I'm currently trying to put together a list of switches which I will then order with a tester. The keycaps are currently on their way from Hong Kong. It'll prolly take about a week or two for everything to arrive, I'll let you know how I feel about what I tried!

@@JuzSayWooo A little update with preliminary results. 😅 My Cerakey caps have arrived together with the first switch tester on which I had one clicky (Kailh BOX Jade), two linear (Gateron Oil King, Gateron INK Black V2) and six tactile (Gazzew Boba U4T 68g / 62g, C³Equalz X TKC Kiwi, Durock Koala 62g, Cherry MX Brown, WS Heavy Tactile) switches. The clicky switch admittedly feels incredible compared to the clicky switches in my current Razer kb, but the added noise is just too excessive. The two linears also feel great, I like the Oil Kings sound when bottoming out in particular, but I just can't rest my fingers on these without accidently actuating them. Of the tactiles, the MX Brown is hands down the worst. The pretravel in combination with the weaker bump just feels awful when compared with the U4T & Koala. But what really stood out to me, was that I *vastly* prefer the switches with stronger springs, U4T 68g, Kiwi and WS Heavy - with the latter being my current favorite. So I ordered another tester with 9 tactile switches, all with stronger springs. 🤣 Keygem also happened to have a ZoomPad Essential Edition - Scarlet Red which I immediately ordered along with the second tester, since it's literally the perfect companion for the red Neo80. So I'll be able to put the switches in there with ceramic caps on top to also get a better sound impression.

Another beautiful video. Love how you made boring comparison segments look so artistic while still serving full purpose of the comparison. Neo80 has one deal breaker for me, and that's the rotated switch for the |\ and the Enter keys. On my Neo65 with Neo White, the |\ keycap doesn't sit flush because the switch stem is tilted on the Neo White. That put me off completely from all PCBs with rotated switches anywhere now. :(

Yeah it is. Ultimately I guess it's the total package of the Neo80 not being attractive enough for me to give up the Neo White (I really like how that switch feels). I went as far as to get a wired-only hotswap PCB on the Neo65 because the trimode Neo65 has the same rotated switches. Would probably have got the Neo80 if it offered a wired PCB with no rotated switches.

볼캐치에 마그네틱까지...편의성의 끝판왕을 달려가는군요...네오 80도 오링이 되는군요 70을 구매해서 처음으로 오링을 해보려고 하는데 스크류인 스테빌이 아닌 스냅인 스테빌을 사용해야 한다더군요... 간섭 때문에.. 그러면 모든 스테빌을 다 스냅인으로 교체해야 하는 건가요? 제가 듣기론 슷바만 바꾸면 된다고 들었던 것 같은데... 전부 스냅인으로 바꾸려면 기본으로 주는 네오 스테빌을 써야겠군요... 오늘도 굉장한 영상미 감탄하고 갑니다 선생님!
