I am back after what felt like FOREVER, mainly because this Ghoulia Yelps reroot took me forever! But I am done and can finally share my Skulltimate Secrets Neon Frights reroot and review!
Ghoulia is one of my fave Monster High characters and with this release I finally feel like Ghoulia is getting the love and attention she deserves. I am normally not a fan of a “gamer” aesthetic but these doll companies are adamant to make it happen and I’m slowly starting to see the light.
I had so much fun with this one and can already feel that Ghoulia is gonna be my fave of Neon Frights 🫣

You got a perfect ghoulia! They haven't been released in Australia. We only got Fearidescent a month ago. Those short sleeves are called cap sleeves 🙂 I love the leg warmers. I wondered how you do part lines. I want to start rerooting dolls. I also collect Bratz and you can get them cheaper if they have hair cuts. So it would be amazing to feel confident rerooting them.

I love the reroot, but I wish the pink you gave her was red. Pink isn’t really Ghoulias color - although I could be saying that because she already has too much to begin with

the blue and pink is super pretty. I'm rerooting my lagoona soon. not a fan of the core refresh blonde. I'm changing the blue to a seaglow blue with a light purple.

I think that if skin is a different color, then browns and nudes don’t work as neutral tones, I think that’s why this Ghoulia looks better than some other dolls tbh

Yeah true! It’s strange tho cause G1 Ghoulia has brown/neutral brows but I think the shape of them was less harsh compared to G3 with the thicker brown brows

if they stopped using those lockers they could put the money to better hair. Its nice to have 1 or 2 lockers but what do I do with the rest? And I HATE that there is no window to see the face before you buy. So you could get a wonky screening. I love spending 15 minutes in the store choosing the doll with the face I love the most.

I really dislike the pleather that these dolls come with, it is not going to last in the long run and I wished they gave them saran hair... I have noticed as more g3 dolls come out, more and more of them have poly hair and it is devestating 😫 they started so good and now they are starting to cheapen them a little as time goes on, but the price is good for these and the core dolls. For my g3 neon frights twyla's keys, I ran them under the faucet with hot water, then washed them with soap because they were slimy and sticky afterwards, I also towel dried them and let them airdry just for good measure.

I think she’s a Target exclusive so that’s probably why! And ty ty, I have so much fun rerooting so I’m happy they are beloved by others as well :)

Thanks!! Even tho Saran hair doesn’t have as many color options as Nylon I prefer the waxy feel of Saran more than the slipperiness of Nylon. The colors are more limited but I still make do!

Dang, really? The eyeshadow won me over. Less so the color and more so the pixel-inspired design. I don’t know why, but I just eat it up. The green also really makes her red lips pop (which is what she needs - more red).
