The subway will connect Valenzuela City in the north to Paranaque City in the south, passing through major business districts and residential areas. It's designed to accommodate 1.5 million passengers per day.
Construction of the Metro Manila Subway has faced challenges, including delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, significant progress has been made, with tunnel boring machines already at The Phase one of the project from East Valenzuela to North Avenue is now at 50% in progress.
Shaw Boulevard Station is now in progress.The tunnel boring machine is brought to the site.The tunnelling works will begin.
Ortigas Station of the subway project is about to start construction with the site clearing in the coming weeks.Metrowalk complex is the location and some buildings near the Meralco avenue will be demolished.
The project is expected to be fully operational by 2027.
