That doesn't make him any different... He's just another person, and a great musician. His lyrics are still relatable to straight people because love is something we all experience and struggle with. If you're someone religious who believes being gay is a sin, well, he's not any more of a sinner than any other musician you might listen to. Heaven is just as full of sinners as Hell, as I like to say.
