RAM caching in 256GB storage can kill the laptop sooner if u r a moderately user. its a crime to sell 256GB laptop from 2020 onwards. 8GB 512GB combo is the cheapest one should aim for long lasting macbook.

Great experience on my m2 air as a student and a developer. Everything runs smoothly. Android studio and emulator works better than that of my 16 gb ram Lenovo legion. I love Unix based operating system but dual booting on my legion gave me very less hardware compatibility with Linux distros. since mac is based on Unix most of the command line utilities works like a charm. And about battery life I get more than 10 hours on light to medium tasks. If you are planning to get one, I would recommend you get a 16 gb m1 rather than going for m2 or m3

ഞാൻ Macbook M1 എടുത്തിരുന്നു. അത് ഞാൻ വിറ്റു കാരണം C# based application ചില tools ഇതിൽ work ആകില്ല. കാരണം ഇത് arm 64 ആയതു കൊണ്ട്. developer അതിന് Support അപിളിക്കേഷൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കി വരുന്നൊള്ളു രണ്ടാമത്തെ main പ്രശ്നം ഇതിൽ മൈനിങ്ങ് ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ ഇത് complaint ആയി . എത്ര പ്രവിശ്യവും Apple Stor ൽ കൊണ്ട് കൊടുത്തിട്ടും നന്നായില്ല അവർ Reset ചെയ്ത് തരും കെതി കെട്ട് ഞാൻ വിറ്റു. വള്ളി സാധനം തലയിൽ വച്ചു നടകണ്ട എന്നു കരുതി

Mine Air M1 16gb 256 , 3.5 yrs, as good as new. 👍 Cr@@ck off¢e working so far, install was hassle-free though, link from some Hindi YT channel . Windows11 arm insider version running via VMware (earlier using UTM) - occassional use especially for accessing my old 1 TB harddisk ( which was formatted previously for windows, and hence can't write into the hdd using macos). Watch out for SD x elite windows laptops, though.

My experience with apple is very bad .i own an m1pro . I got screen line , after 1.5 years and when gone to official service centre they quoted 98k for repair, the laptop only costs 1.2lack 😅. I am still using it with the screen issue 🙌. Ok Then the famous iphone 13 yellow issue alos got me 😅. Lucky i got an 30k exchange offer for OnePlus 12. Now I am waiting to see waht will happen to the ipad 👌. Apple quality control is very bad now. And the repair cost is absurd. If you are looking for a good laptop with good build quality and performance then lenovo ThinkPad might be a good option.

I’m a server engineer and currently using a 5th gen i3 Asus laptop it’s been 8 yrs and still performs well but I’m planning to add MacBook Air M1 as it’s replacement is this worth it because I know my Asus runs fine without much effort and I’m keeping it as backup so my question is do I really need to put extra money to get a newer version of MacBook Air or get MacBook Air M1 instead?

If you have a budget, go for M2 15 inch version. it's a beast. Are you using your server config tools via browser ???
