Not sure if you'll see this, but only the first turn, by the first player do you not attack. The last phase of the 2nd players 1st turn there is a mandatory attack. After that every player attacks on every turn.

With these kinds of TCGs it's way more fun to play with the extra cards from booster packs rather than just using mostly the base starter decks. Starter decks are only for beginners to learn the ropes. Try with more cards from booster packs!
