Nepal Champions Appropriate Use of Medicines for Patient Safety and Health Outcomes

Patients need to have all the information about the medicine they take, including their purpose, how much to take, and for how long. Improved health outcomes and patient safety depends on strict following of instructions. Pharmacists have a big role to play in helping patients learn and understand information about their medication.
USAID, through its Medicines, Technologies, and Pharmaceutical Services (MTaPS) Program in Nepal, is supporting the government’s Department of Drug Administration (DDA) to strengthen how medicines are managed in Nepal. USAID-MTaPS Nepal is helping DDA to improve services from all pharmacies and make sure that quality-assured medicines are available to the community.
