Nepal is known for being on top of the world. It's also a country where Hinduism and Maoism struggle for dominance. Christians face widespread persecution but God is on the move. Their numbers have grown from 29 people when the first church was planted in Nepal 60 years ago, to nearly 1 million today. Most of those coming to Christ in Nepal today are former Hindus and face much opposition including a young girl whose mother tried to kill her for becoming a Christian. Gary Lane has the story.

I am just against the business and the bribing activities that some folks are involved in Nepal in the name of spreading religion. The uneducated and under educated poor people and those who have been victim of the earthquakes are given a copy of Bible instead of food and shelter. Imagine @Isabella what would be the situation worst than this in this world. I just want you to remind that I respect the beliefs that Christians have about their God and all .. but what is the most dissatisfying fact is people are spreading their religion completely in a wrong way in poor communities and societies where people are even unable to read a single word of Bible. The persecution goes on... ya lots of nepali christians gets persecuted here. But Lets face the fact, they do so because they are afraid of Jesus. They are afraid of whole christianity. They believe that christianity can overcome their religion and culture. Don't worry God is great. He will surely convert your belief into reality. I have never seen Christianity either, because there is no such thing in the world as Christianity.. What exists in the name of Christianity I have always seen as Crossianity. It is the worship of the cross, not of Christ. It is fear of death, not love of life. Just take a few things out of the life of Jesus and Christianity disappears. If he is not crucified can there be a Christianity? Jesus is not important; what is important is crucifixion. Even more important is the fiction of resurrection, but that is possible only if first Jesus is crucified. It is a corollary. These so called Christians worship Jesus because of resurrection. That is a great consolation against death. That's why I say they are worshiping the cross, the crucifixion, the resurrection and not for any love for Jesus and his teachings but because of a deep fear of death. This fear of death makes them believe in things which they know are impossible. But when you are in a psychological turmoil of fear you can believe anything, just as a temporary consolation right??? You Ppl believe: Jesus walks on water, turns stones into bread, makes wine out of water, raises the dead back to life. Just remove these things which don't have anything to do with Jesus' teachings or do you think these things are necessary for there to be a religion?

Like door to door sales man they go to different houses and preach their dirty shits. Sorry to hear that. From the fruits, you can tell the tree. When a person shows love, compassion and respect to others. Then you know that person is a real Christian. In my country, you can find many Christians devoted themselves to help the homeless, they cook for them, sheltered them and bring them to the doctor. And they shows much unconditional love.
