Nepal EP 06 : Sonauli to Pokhara | Raat ko pahuche Homestay

Once we crossed the border and were done with all the paperwork and money exchange, we started our jourmey towards our Homestay near Pokhara , tension free! The road condition from Sonauli to Pokhara was pretty decent, as compared to what we had heard about bad roads of Nepal ( Guess it was just the first day , hehe ). We reached our homestay quite late but were welcomed by the lovely hosts with such amazing hospitality that we decided to extend our stay at this place as soon as we reached! Great video. Have you all had any DPF issues on your Gurkha while traveling? If you haven’t how do you all avoid it?

No, we haven't encountered any dpf issue till date on our long trips or otherwise. What we do is stick to diesel from the same petrol pump (Bharat petroleum in our case). Had heard that in most of the pumps in Nepal the diesel is adulterated so we had carried diesel additives along with. Would use the additives while filing the diesel. Got to know from the Pokhara FM that Gurkha in Nepal are facing soot/dpf issues mainly due to adulterated diesel. There are 3-4 Gurkhas in Pokhara and 20+ in Kathmandu (got the figures from FM team there).

Why didn't you show the roads of bhairahawa to butwal though. Construction of road in hills is very hard and every monsoon, landslide occurrence is common.

Yes it is safe, however the road conditions are little rough… so see which bike you take alongwith!
