9:50 what you say about price gouging is the frustration I feel as a Khmer visiting Cambodia. Other Khmer I know returning to Cambodia to visit have complained the same. When we go through the airport, whether it's coming in or leaving, or through land boarder to neighboring countries, the immigration officers always ask us for money. They ask us for "coffee money" or "lunch money". And then when we visit markets or restaurants, they know we're not locals and will give us the menu and pricing for foreigners, charging us double or more. The price is not the problem, it's the principle. Why treat Khmers living overseas like we're outsiders? It's disappointing especially since Khmer community who regularly go to the temple here often fundraise for projects in Cambodia such as digging water wells for rural communities, purchasing school supplies for kids and gifting teachers with rice, dried meats, etc.
