Hi Nep, Just a quick idea, why don’t you log your champs results on a spreadsheet each week so you can see how you’ve done/improved throughout the year? Follow up thought: You could also add notes such as “this week we added this player, used this formation, etc. etc.”

The big thing for me is just enjoying the game. I’m not a streamer and so winning doesn’t matter to me. I play all 32 squad battles every week. I play moments. I play the occasional game of rivals (usually just enough to get my wins and rewards on a Thursday). I try to complete unique player SBCs and I use players that I like. I used Centurions Trent and Winter Wildcard De Bruyne last year until Futties came out. I really enjoy the fact that you’re using Arsenal players exclusively where you can. It’s really fun. And it means that you won’t have the best players in all positions and that challenge makes the game more enjoyable. And as daft as it sounds, you become attached to certain players and even if you get better ones, you won’t swap them.

Hey nep, just to add to the whole hybrid vs full arsenal team just wanted to say i’m running a full scotland team this year, its been super fun and i’ve played hundreds of games with them but its getting to the point in champs where I just cant compete anymore. Specifically Angus Gunn in goal was driving me up the wall. Im now using players like Zambrotta and Marchisio from the sbc packs and its been so much more enjoyable. I think it’s definitely possible to find a good balance between having fun with your favourite players and using some meta players to help you win more. As you say, winning is the most fun in this game and I find it so much more fun using a couple meta players to help me get to that 9 or 11 win mark. thanks 😊

About the keepers, Ive found that using keeper movement to put them back on their line works rly well. It makes 0 sense for football brains but it works rly well in game. just give it a shot

One of the most painful thing in fut champs is getting a late penalty to win the game and the person quitting before it’s taken - it’s incredible you can pause before a pen now and surely EA can implement it so if you play say over 30 minutes if the person quits you get the win. The toxicity of some players is so painful, wasted all that time as the game treats it like it never happened but all your players lose one match on their contract.

i am kinda liking how you've been doing the series with the amount of arsenal players you have been using.. why not when an SBC card comes out just make a new squad around that player with or without arsenal players only use it for 5-10 rivals games then use the Evo squad till champs or vice versa.. you will never please the masses no matter what you do

Hey Nep I’ve been loving the series keep up the great work! This is a bit of a weird idea I suppose and I seriously doubt EA would ever do this, but for people that want to use specific players in their team that are just above the threshold of the stat or overall caps I think it would be cool if players could be downgraded so that can fit an evolution. For example you want to use Christian Pulisic in the Prolific Winger evolution, but he’s too fast already so drop his stats down to the cap of the evolution and you can still use him for it. Not sure if this makes much sense but I think it would be a cool idea because I have noticed many players I want to use are only a few stat points over but I would love to evolve them.

Nep you should try to have one of your lb or rb to join the attack/overlap - Rolfo is broken and really helps with the cut backs. Also, 5212 with attacking wing backs is OP

fifa in the day was really fun especially the era where theres trade btwn clubs and when utubers were doing pinkslips. that era was golden. with the rise of harry, ksi, anesongib etc putting their clubs on the line over friendlies. most have moved on after making it big because playing fifa now is more of a chore than fun. its all dead content on utube except for some RTGs like NepZ.

Nep... the thing you told about Kiwior will not work unless you submit or discard the Kiwior you already have Evoed. I'm in the same situation. I did the welcome and Golden GlowUP II with a bought Gravenberch. Now I have a regular Gravenberch in the club. I tried to see if I could use the regular one in the Centurions Box-to-Box. When I tried to see the example I got the message which basically says that you can't Evo a player of which already have an Evoed version. I discarded my already Evoed Gravenberch to see if I would still get the message and I could see the example to see what his card will become. That would mean you could only have one Evo-version of a player in your club. It's the dilemma I'm in now, not sure what to do with it.

I have been a doing Poland To Glory and have only used Polish players. Safe to say my players are not ‘meta’ however i enjoy my team because it’s my team. I evolved a 64 polish bronze into a 87 rated for 150k, he is not worth 150k but it’s my card and I know no one else has that card. I’ve also used terrible but still manage to enjoy the game as it feels I’m learning the game every day.

personally with this arsenal vs meta convo if i was you, i would allow myself 1 or 2 players per week that you wana test out. buy and use a rashford or neymar or sawa icon etc use them in rivals and champs sell them on move on, still use your arsenal evos but can also give a few players like rooney a burn etc.

I know it’s unpopular opinion but this 71 depth meta is way better than the 1 depth drop back out your controller down and just hold second man press like last year was that made me stop playing. It’s much more engaging this year.

Hey nep, I'm doing Poland/Barca PnP evos and I use two teams. Use Polish team mainly for squad battles and rivals (until it has enough evos for champs), and barca pnp that i mainly use for champs. A good idea for you could also be having two seperate teams that you use for different things. Have full arsenal team for squad battles of players that you don't usually use, more op arsenal team for rivals and then mixed team for champs. In this way you will be able to play with arsenal players you don't usually use, while still using the main XI and then on top of that have ability to use other players in champs. Every weekend just build a team around some constraints for champs, something like 2 def 2mid and 1 st has to be arsenal and then 2def 2mid 1 st has to be other players, could even go as far as restricting yourself from using the same 5 arsenal players every week.

imo the worst thing about fifa attacking wise is the inability to score from crosses. crosses produce the most goals in real life footy compared to other goal types. but in fifa you cant score from a cross (unless its a corner) which leaves people with 2 options when their winger has ball: cut in and finesse or go down line and cutback. if crosses were more effective i honeslty think it would lower the cutback meta

I know you are a great supporter of evolution but i rarely see teams with evolved player unless they are working on evolving them, it seems to me that the current meta players are still much better than evolved players. I really don't like that you play the last game just to see if you can win it. 13 wins is the same as 11 and makes no difference to how you will do next weekend and you have potentially deprived someone of a higher rank. If you want to track progress and see how you are improving then your final rank is a good enough indicator of that or you can keep track of your record game by game to see the breakdown of the champs run but taking a win from someone else for the sake of it is not very fair to the poor person who matched you. Generally loving the series and look forward to each video, just wanted to say my piece on this

Something that kills me is KZbinrs saying the meta is boring but stick to it to try win. Every year you play against noobs sweating whatever the meta is over and over again to see no results. AA nine skills used to be such a sick FIFA player and then slowly died after playing the meta instead of his style. Why buy a game to only play it in one way with players you don’t like to try get wins.

I think you can do a bit of both when it comes to the players you use. You'll need to play a lot of SBs for Evos so no reason why you can't use all the arsenal cards for that and then incorporate more meta, non arsenal players for more competitive online games. Ultimately its an RTG so getting better rewards in champs, rivals etc will help get more coins into the club to aid with future arsenal evos

Hey Nep, you mentioned on your main channel that mudryk isn’t worth doing, I have done him as I’m doing a Chelsea team, surely players like that even if he doesn’t get upgraded have the opportunity to get evoed up again further down the line, and in his case he only needs a few extra bits to be unreal. Goalies are just personal preference in reality. All of them suck in some way shape or form. For me, Ter Stegan has by far and away been the best for me and Alisson, Ederson, etc have sucked beyond belief. Just crazy some games they’ll save everything and the next they’re getting scored on left and right. Idk what the answer is to keepers. I don’t know how EA can improve the keeper AI.

I've watched every episode of this series up to now and will continue to do so. However, I just feel it's becoming slightly boring and feels like each episode is almost identical. We get a new Evo, we know you're picking an Arsenal player. We get a new player objective, SBC or promo player and we know you're 99.9% not going to use them or even consider using them. Is the whole point of this series just to Evo as many Arsenal players as you can throughout the game cycle and work towards Thierry Henry and Patrick Viera in the meantime? If so, would you not consider making a second RTG? One that isn't so predictable and obvious, one where you can use different players, meta players/fun players, one where each week your team as whole is always chopping and changing because you have so many different avenues to go down. You're obviously enjoying this series which is all that matters at the end of the day but I believe a second RTG would be just as fun alongside this series.
