As someone who has bipolar disorder I can attest that you have very little control over what you do when you’re manic, but you still have to face the music when it’s over. And there is no way that he was manic during everything he did.

Honestly OP, growing up in a single parent household, I got in with a bad crowd and I was convicted of B&E! I’m not making excuses for what I did back then. I was willing to break the law in order to have a friend. Stupid I know now! My record is mostly cleaned up by my own hard work, the person who I was trying to impress, ended up in Juvenile Detention, eventually the family moved away. I look back on that time in my life and I shudder to understand why I was so stupid? While I’m much older these days; I still have to wonder why I ruined my reputation just for someone who was never going to be a friend?

Depends on where you live. In warmer, wetter, and less urban areas, a machete can be the optimal tool for clearing more aggressive undergrowth before it takes over your yard.

I have one for the brush in the back that would kill my weed eater. Some of those "junk trees" like chinese tallows will shoot up quick and be thick around the trunk, requiring either a big pruner or a machete to cut 'em down. And sometimes the undergrowth is covered in those brambles and vines with thorns--better to chop 'em down with a machete than try to pull them down, even with gloves on (getting smacked in the face with those things and scratched to hell ain't fun). I live on a couple acres and though I try to keep some of my yard in back "wild" as a privacy buffer, I cut what's close enough to where I work and garden, because accidentally brushing up against those thorns is painful.

My mother was a gardener and she used to use a machete and/or a sickle to clear smaller areas of undergrowth. It's quieter, less hassle and (for small areas) actually quicker and less hard on your body than using a weed-whacker (I think that's the US term for an electrical undergrowth mower?).

Um... Does anyone else worry that they took those tools to COMMIT A UNALIVING? A chainsaw to make the pieces smaller, a machete to get the job done, shovels to hide the pieces, a rake to disguise the dirt, and idk what they'd do with a hedge trimmer, gas can, and drill.
