» WHERE IS NEPHI FROM?
I am native to Bacolod City in the Philippines but in the recent years I have been moving and living a lot in different countries like Singapore, Japan and the US due to the nature of my work. I was in the US when I started this channel but I am currently in Indonesia thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
» MUSICAL BACKGROUND
Former band vocalist of Akita performing at K-Pub in Ayala Cebu, Philippines (2019-2020)
Former band vocalist of Big Three Band performing in Yokohama 7, Yokohama, Japan (2014-2016).
Former member of the Filipino Voice Symphony (2010-2011) where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our singing group bagged the "Gold Medal" in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
Former university choir and singing trainer at Technological University of the Philippines Visayas.
» WHAT IS THE GREATER GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.

This video hard for foreigner to understand just by watching it because I think it's only Indonesian related which is fine, but when the "Maju Tak Gentar" Reffrain played I think it's got many of people's heart touched, it's so powerfull, they've made such great visual and audio combine so good in the video. Thanks for the appreciation and reaction to the video nephi, may you have many great days in 2024 🎉

The story narrates that the man who caused the accident is described as the child of a government official (whose parents work in a high position within the Indonesian government). After the collision, he feels no remorse, and ironically, he is protected by the law through the influence of his powerful parents. The scriptwriter aims to convey that such situations are a common reality in Indonesia, where being wealthy or having connections can manipulate the legal system. This mirrors an incident in 2023 where an official committed assault against an ordinary citizen. The scene between the audience and the eerie musician symbolizes the ordinary people versus those in power, depicting a clash between them. However, it suggests that the common people can fight back against the rulers by uniting and supporting each other. The song "Maju tak gentar" is a national anthem conveying the message that Indonesia must progress fearlessly to defend truth and uphold our rights.

The creator of Rewind Indonesia 2023 said that Rewind Indonesia 2023 is very Indonesian. It can be seen from all the clothing motifs used by the people in this video that they are traditional motifs native to Indonesia, namely Batik. Not because I'm Indonesian, but honestly Batik is really COOL!! The songs in this video are also Indonesian hits.
