Filipino Reactor. Keeping it real and natural.
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living outside the Philippines due to job assignment. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my KZbin Channel and my full-time job as an engineer.
I was a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our choral group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
I was the Glee Club president and was a trainer for various singing competitions when I was in the university - all these were humbling experiences for me.
WHAT IS THE GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others may actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.
I have come to a point of trying to find a greater purpose in life, something beyond just being happy for a moment. Happiness in life is more meaningful if we choose to be useful, be honorable, be compassionate, and make a difference.

She's amazing! Both vocally and technically. I just don't get why she seems kinda underrated in terms of vocals in the philippines. I actually think she's almost on the same level of other international artists like kelly clarkson, jhud, etc. I've read so many stuff saying that regine is miles away from sarah g in terms of vocals, but i've heard some of regine's songs and performances and i must say that sarah is miles away from regine in terms of vocals. She may not have highest voice, but her control, resonance, runs, riffs, emotions, headvoice, and growls are what separates her from the biriteras she usually gets compared to.

To be honest I am tired seeing few people bashing Sarah (cause many people loves her), tired in a sense that they are so preoccupied with the baseless fact that Sarah G is not good enough. Sarah G is one of the best soloist, vocalist, performer, artist that the Philippines has ever had. Her vocals and technique are far better than any biritera in the Philippines. Many can belt, but only few of them can sing any song and genre. That makes Sarah G unique from all of them. For example her vocal skills and technique is better than Regine and other biriteras (I am not bashing Regine because she really has a vocal range better than Sarah) my point is the vocal skill and technique that requires adatability to any song. Sarah has that and she is soooo good in doing that. Regine can hit a note higher than Sarah, but Sarah can hit the note and sing any song. Check the difference when Regine sings a pop rock, rap and upbeat songs. You'll see what I mean. The ballaf style of Regine is still evident, but Sarah's vocals adapt to the song with ease. Even in RnB's. While, Lea has a very pleasant and crystal clear voice, but her voice is not as flexible as Sarah's. You know what I mean if you'll just open your mind. On the other hand, KZ has a unique voice and style, but unlike Sarah, her voice is not as seamless as Sarah when it comes to singing any song. KZ interprets her song beautifully and makes it her own. My point is, she does changes in melodies and strikingly puts her own to adapt to the song (which is not wrong nor bad) unlike Sarah which can sing any song or genre while keeping the original key or melody. Her vocals adapt to any song naturally and can make the song her own with few technique changes while performing. She can change the style in attacking the song or retain it. It's her call and she really is good at it. I am not bashing, and I dont want to be like the haters of Sarah G. I just want to reiterate why we love Sarah G and why she is loved by many. Just to add, Sarah G were offered for some international acts it is just that she never grabbeg those opportunities. Check some information about this thru Viva. Even some artists go international, you can not deny the fact that Sarah is Sarah, and she is a Supertar. You may be known internationally, but you may not win the many hearts of the Filipino people. Laugh at Sarah, throw hate on her... No matter what you do. She will remain to be the best Multimedia Artist that the Philippines has ever discovered. See her awards (local and international), accomplishments and record breaking lists if you have doubts
