It's been brought to my attention that I forgot the Strength requirements for multiclassing as a Paladin. To fix this, put one of the +1s from our race into Strength instead of Dexterity. I think a 17 AC is fine.

I have a level 20 build that is 3 soulknife rogue 3 your choice of warlock and 14 bard college of lore or college of swords. If you take college of lore takes spiritual weapon at level 6 if not take it at level 10 the 3 levels of warlock is for Shadow blade

doesn't paladin require a 13 in strength to multiclass, also hex warrior only works on 1 weapon, so you can only use charisma for 1 weapon, that would mean that your off hand is pretty weak relatively worse. pact of the blade doesn't let you use charisma for your weapons, it simply gives you a pact weapon

I must have forgot to bump Strength at some point, so that's a fault on my part. As for Hex Warrior, it says that its effects apply to any Pact Weapon you make. The wording implies that this is done automatically without you having to choose your Pact Weapon at the end of a long rest. This also implies that you can still choose a separate weapon to also gain the effect, as per how the feature usually works. This is completely up to interpretation, though I've not found anything official saying that this doesn't work.

@@tabletopnephilim4633 oh that is cool, I just read the wording and it does kinda work, although the hex warrior wording does specify 1 weapon, but it might work.

@@prostatus7190 Again, it's up to interpretation. It'd be another thing if it explicitly said otherwise.

To be honest I used the dodge more than the block. PS every time I hear you say Legendary build the song Legendary by Skillet plays in my head for hype. can't wait for next week.

You can only have 1 weapon use your Cha modifier as a Hexblade warlock.
@tabletopnephilim46332 жыл бұрын
I explained my reasoning for doing this in the video. Hex Warrior says that the benefits apply to any pact weapon you make, without you having to choose your pact weapon to gain those benefits at the end of a long rest. It does not explicitly say you cannot still choose a weapon to gain the benefits if you have a pact weapon. I've also not found anything official saying this doesn't work. If you find something that does, please let me know and I will avoid doing this again in the future.

I'm gonna be honest I kinda hate this build most of the spells in this could easily be grabbed from as a wizard and you could have Dance Macabre and animate or summon undead as exhume which this build doesn’t even have Trauma, Reaping and unstoppable could be Tenser's Transformation Reaper storm could be enervation phantom steed could be despair and negative energy flood could be flavoured as murder with Grim harvest from necromancy wizard being used as bless his Reaper form could be Tasha's Otherworldly Guise Bigby's Hand could be used as the big pair of hands he has since those huge balls you roll around look like they weigh much more than 10 pounds and Death also basically used soul cage and speak with dead in Abomination vault and then take the remaining levels in whatever martial classes are needed to make Death and Boom, an alternate build that captures Death abilities much better heck even death cleric could have probably worked better also, the martial class would probably be fighter so you get 3 ASIs to fill in the fact that you need dex and strength then you could use custom lineage for the tough feat

I'll admit I was originally building Death around Wizard, but somewhere along the way I decided to switch to what I ended up with. I think I just REALLY wanted Find Steed from Paladin rather than Phantom Steed from Wizard and was trying to figure out how to get that AND his other abilities without needing 4 different scores. Once I noticed the thing about Hex Warrior, I decided to focus on Hexblade and Holy Souly for spells. Admittedly it didn't turn out as strong as I would have hoped, and I even forgot to bump Strength.
