RMC actually has two varieties of single rail coasters, one called the raptor; which has a thin rail and only seats one person across(these are the ones that exist in real life), and they also have the T-Rex; which has a thicker rail, seats two across, and can be much bigger than a raptor coaster. The T-Rex is the type of coaster that is in Planet Coaster.

A few things... 1. Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster is the "taller" (edit: top height...not drop height...) of the two extant Raptors (32.3 m/106 ft). How tall is Rage? 2. The subject of themed areas: What about a prehistoric/dinosaur area? 1950s Space Age seems like a good idea too, maybe you could even have a ride themed around the (in)famous Project Orion proposal to make a propulsion system using nukes. 3. I have the same chair problem! Annoying as hell. At least it doesn't have structural integrity issues like my old wooden chair (RIP).

Both have the same drop heights, Golden Lasso is only "Taller" because of the stilts it's on. RailBlazer is pretty much at ground level while GLC is on taller footers giving that impression that it's taller.

Helicopters have wings too, just like planes. Instead of sitting attached to the side of the body waiting to be pushed forward, they spin on the top so they are always moving forward. This way the body of the aircraft can have no velocity (a hover) but the wings (the rotors on top) still have airflow and can generate lift. In fact when people are talking about "aircraft" in general, they differentiate planes from helicopters by saying "fixed wing" and "rotary wing". So just imagine the rotor on the heli as a spinning wing.

Yes it is RMC. It stands for Rocky Mountain Construction based in Hayden, Idaho USA. The raptor is the single rail with in line seating. TRex is yet to be built but is 2 across. I rode Railblazer. It's an incredible experience.

A loop-the-loop as in a normal loop is a Clothoid. In such a shape the force on the body grows linearly which is much more pleasant than a round loop which has a sudden increase in force.

You'd probably be okay with HULK, which is a launched coaster IIRC. There's an audio track of Bruce Banner turning into the Hulk gradually, and then as he completes that transformation and I reached a climax, you launch. Having that audio feedback and track makes it all make sense in the brain.

The track you used is based off of the rmc t-Rex track, a larger, higher capacity version of the raptor track. So the size difference compared to the raptor coasters seems accurate. The trex track is a concept that hasn't been built

I had a chair that did that! Then I replaced it with a chair that quickly started wearing around the joint between the seat and the hydraulic piston, causing it to rock randomly... and squeak loudly... and make black metal dust... The dust was a PAIN to clean up. I kept "fixing" it with metal epoxy, but it was never good enough to not start wearing down again. I eventually had to admit defeat and get a new one. Really sucked because I loved the chair itself. :(

Matt, if you're looking for extra flair to add to ride queues, many rides I've been to have had 'shortcut' paths which can be opened up if attendance is too low to warrant the use of the full queue path. For instance, in the queue for Rage where the different types of rails are could have a smaller 'shortcut' path that would be fenced off

That transfer track confuses me because the train has no way of switching over to the storage track. You want a transfer table that moves the brake run left and right. (Basically remove all the track after that turn) Also the bottom of the transfer track would allow maintenance people to walk under the train to fix stuff like the wheel assembly easier

You have to ride Fury 325. It's... insane. It keeps its speed up throughout the entire layout, it produces up to 5Gs positive on the first half of the layout and the second half is FULL of ejector airtime. It doesn't have any inversions, but it doesn't need any - it's absolutely relentless.

It's a cool coaster concept and stays fairly true to the real thing. Maybe a good idea to use the custom supports of the vintage pack now? I already love the detailing you did with the rest of the ride. You are however wrong about the last element of your ride by calling it a overbanked turn. It's actually a real element called a cutback (which is basically half a corkscrew that goes into half a corkscrew the other way) and was first introduced on drachen fire back in '92. I also noticed that you have some flat chained track coming out of the station. Seems like wasted space which would be better used to decrease the curvature of the bends in the transfer track.

technically, single rail coasters were in rct3, only in the form of the twin rail coaster that i think was added in the animal park expansion also, you should try an eastern asian style. that would look pretty neat, especially with how you build

Hey Matt I love your series and i want to give you some advise on coaster building (you might know it from silveret) you should try out the grapefruit method it might take a lot longer to make these videos but it is genuinely a smoother and would add an extra spark to your coasters. keep making quality content (by talking about non-planet coaster things)

ive been experimenting with small probes going for a super low mun periapse but i can never effectively lower my apoapgee down to about 3 km to circularise. the lowest i ever got without hitting the terrian was 3.3 km +- peri and about 20km +- apo sadly. i think it may be possible but im not so sure. hopefully matt might make a video trying it or something

You say a helicopter flying does not make sense but an airplane does. Not sure if you care but I have some info for you if you want. Try looking at a helicopter like this and it will make sense, a helicopter does have wings (airfoil) just like an airplane. The only difference between an airplane and a helicopter is you spin the wings (airfoil) to generate lift.
