Yes I made it!!! (Enclosure 2). Really appreciate the feedback too. I have tried to fill that space with plants that havent really well at the lower spots because of less light, but im growing a pothos out to try and plant and cover some of those branches. Thanks again, great vid!

Hi, I recently adopted a chameleon that my sister found at a local park where I live. He is a male veiled chameleon, and I set up a cage how you advised. I am so thankful for you helping people set up their chameleon homes correctly. Where I live these chameleons are not native but have been released and are invasive. However, it gets too cold sometimes below 40 rarely below 30 so I believe we saved him from the winter ahead. There is so much I'd like to talk with you about, but I mainly want to say thank you as you helped me make him a happy little guy with all your content!

Yey I made it!🥳 Enclosure 5 Thank you for the feedback! I didnt know fish flakes & tomatos are bad for gutloading, I really appreciate this information. I would love so share some more pictures of my enclosur, because its so huge and there is much to show or from Neo aswell (btw he is NOT to find inside the enclosure on the picture I sent^^). I use a solar meter, expensive but its so worth. RN I habe 50 live plants inside. Also 4 umbrella plants on the ground (left), at least 6 (smaller) pothos plants, different monsteras, philodendron, one croton. I also mist the plants by hand to keep some of them hydrated. Smaller plants, ferns, mosses & leaves on the bottom for the micro fauna. I forgot to mention that my enclosure is bioactiv with springtails & orange isopods. The enclosure size is 70x31x63 inch. Next time I wirte the lenght also in inch 😝 PS: Leonard has awesome colors, love it. The jackson chameleon enclosure looks pretty cool with all the umbrella plants inside!

Hi i’m the fourth enclosure and i did so many typos in my submission 😭 I did mean 4x2x2 and yes his basking spot is 85!!The basking branch may seem a bit lower because of the angle, but I promise it’s 85 lolll. and the enclosure is two feet off the ground. So sorry for the confusion. Thank you so much for the review and tips!!

Can you talk more about the water drip setup more specifically where the water hits at. Should it hit leaves at top of the cage etc.I have the main water drip leaf at head height right by his main branch. I never see him drink from that leaf. He is always using his tongue 6 inch always.
@NeptunetheChameleon Жыл бұрын
I try to make sure my dripper drips on a leaf at the top of the enclosure so then it can also hit the leaves below it.

So you recommend a t5 & not a t8 uvb bulb?
@johngoodham3260 Жыл бұрын
Hi I’ve got my top branches 8-9 inches from where I’m going to put my uvb (setting it up slowly) . Is that too far away and what is distance between your top branch and uvb ,thanks John
@leighkirbyson Жыл бұрын
If you can afford a solar meter it’s the best investment for your chameleon and you don’t have to guess then 😊
@leighkirbyson Жыл бұрын
It’s stopped me stressing too, so so much , the meter will also tell you when your bulbs are low or too close to the branch etc 😊

I want a chameleon but I only have the enclosure they sell at the pet stores.😟 What do I do?
@NeptunetheChameleon Жыл бұрын
What are the dimensions of the enclosure you have now? I'd suggest checking out my shopping lists and buying your enclosure and supplies online: www.neptunethechameleon.com/shopping-lists

I don't know the proper terminology. straight up it's 29in and the rest 16in. Hope you can understand that.😁😁

Hi there - I hope this isn’t a silly question, but I am in my research stage at this point. Are any plants/foliage off limits to the panther chameleon? What different plants would you recommend? I heard pothos a couple times, but to add dimension to an enclosure, what would you suggest?

You can find all of my plant videos in this playlist: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnSVeXmro9uJb68&pp=gAQBiAQB and you can find a list of plants I use on my website: www.neptunethechameleon.com/plants 🌱

Im having trouble finding 60-75w incandescent bulbs. My local hardware stores say that they arent selling them any longer and are hard to find. Does anyone have any suggestions before spending the crazy prices at the pet stores?

what do you think of the repashy multi vitamin with d3 (it has the jackson chameleon on it)
@NeptunetheChameleon Жыл бұрын
That's the LoD one which is the one people use for chameleons. I personally haven't used it since I've heard of chameleons developing edema from using it but other keepers have used it without any issues.

is it bad to have a t8 10.0 linear uvb?
@NeptunetheChameleon Жыл бұрын
Depends on what enclosure you have and how you have your branches set up but that should be okay for a 48" tall enclosure. Here is a good resource on UVB: chameleonacademy.com/uvb/

I get so freaking angry at all the STUPID people who buy an animal before they know how to care for it.
@leighkirbyson Жыл бұрын
That’s a bit harsh calling everyone stupid 😢 how about stop name calling and try to help people , like Neptunes momma !!!
@NeptunetheChameleon Жыл бұрын
I understand your frustration. While we may not be able to prevent people from purchasing an animal they're not prepared for, we can definitely make sure they learn about the proper care and get everything they need to keep them healthy 💚
