that is definitely a food dehydrator, just in a smaller size. That being said I'm glad it works. I have plenty of very small molds I can use it with and can cut the curing time for some of my crafts. Thank you for sacrificing your domino moulds to do this review Jackie! we love you!

I'm so happy to see a crafty video! I think the machine is a great idea in theory, but it's too small for anybody except Etsy crafters who make initial letter keychains. I'd take a Dremel to that raised bit around the hole, but I'm afraid it's there for support and maybe it's still not doing the job, given how your projects were uneven. I wish it were bigger and better. Tired of cheap Chinese plastic crap that ruins stuff instead of just working correctly.

It's literally a re-badged dehydrator. Invest in the "box" kind with the doors (the sort Jackie showed in the clips of dehydrators) which have flat shelves and you can have bigger projects that don't have to fit in between narrow stacked shelves.

I personally have no interest in the miniature things (but I am glad you enjoy them) so I haven't felt like I've had some quality Jackie watching in a while. Also, I want to say a HUGE thank you for this review, because this machine sounded promising (as someone with only a cold craft space to work in) and your view has saved me A LOT of money.

I saw a review of this and it does work. I'm actually buying it. I would say probably the best way of doing it is to take out the little trays put your mold on top of the trays themselves while they're on the table then pour in your resin and then put the trays on the machine that way you're not having to touch the mold completely and they have a flat surface to be moved on

But the level issue must be that the trays don’t sit level when they’re stacked, so the mold isn’t level on those trays while it’s curing. Regardless of where the molds are filled, they will be on the not level tray in the machine while curing. The resulting piece wont be level because the trays aren’t level.

Love the video! As someone who works professionally with resin, I was very curious about this machine. Also, I can't stop noticing in these videos that Jackie doesn't use proper PPE -- so please, if you use resin, you're supposed to have gloves and a respirator, because resin is toxic and in liquid form it releases toxic vapes that you can't see! I don't know Jackie's reason not to use PPE or to give a warning in case young ones watch her videos, but please be careful y'all fellow grains! ♥♥

It is 100% a dehydrator. The sound you are hearing is the circulation fan that pushes the air warmed by the heating element around exactly the same way a dehydrator works. As long as the dehydrator has a temperature control method and isn't one of the super cheap fixed temp ones, I'm pretty convinced it would do the exact same thing.
@miyabi-chanmi

So after seeing this at the original price, and then watching the price jump up. I realized all the machine is, from all I can tell, a food dehydrator that looks pretty. So my mom tried a food dehydrator she got and it worked just fine, now I have a food dehydrator too. It allows me to set the time and the temperature, which maxes out at the same as this machine. It worked really well, and I'm glad I didn't spend the premium price on the Resiners machine. I'm considering buying some extra racks for the dehydrator, taking out some of the inside so I can use taller molds. I want to see how much time it will take thicker items to cure.

My only caution with a dehydrator is that it should be "dedicated"... Due to toxins, don't use a dehydrator for food if it has been used for resin. Am I a scientist? No. But I believe an abundance of caution is in order when using toxic chemicals. 😉👍

I can confirm that a regular food dehydrator will work just like the machine Jackie used. Hubby and I decided we'd "sacrifice" ours for the cause, but it worked out well and so far, no harm to our dehydrator (but we decided not to use it for food, in case).

Huh. I was surprised the machine actually worked. Mostly. Is it weird that my automatic reaction to possible too-good-to-be-true sorts of machines or devices is to assume they won't work or work well? Personally, I prefer UV resin because it's quicker to cure and simpler to use, but I can see the appeal of a quick dryer for epoxy resin pieces. Small ones at least. I swear, though, my jaw just about DROPPED when you started cutting your mold!!! I was practically chanting "Don't do it! Don't do it!", but you did it, so I can't do much about that after that. Still, super fun video to watch!

As someone who has tried it. YES, yes it does. All this does is heat the resin up more then it already does curing on its own. On top of that, it's also going to be VERY dependent on the brand and type of resin you use. Items can come out SUPER BRITTLE from overheating. It can discolor pigments and inserts put in the resin, they can flat out ruin the molds due to overheating causing the resin to stick firmly and overheating the mold can make it more prone to ripping as molds designed for resin crafts don't hold up to high temps like kinds designed for oven use... As someone who has worked with resin for 4+ years now, I would never EVER recommend using something like this as the risks are just too great.

@@beansproutmomo In my early days of working with resin I tried all sorts of 'hacks' and 'tricks' to speed up curing time, and the big one was 'heat the resin up'. There is a reaosn why something like this hasn't been done before, and why all resin's have a recomended working tempature. I've had resin flat out fail to cure, discolor and stink BADLY, to just crumble in my hands. Just... let it cure on it's own... some brands might be tolorant to where yes this machine could work wonders... but a lot can be very picky about such things. Heck, I might just get one for the heck of it to do a comparasin and go over the risks as a lot of people doing reviews on this are just like this youtiber, someone who isn't all knowing in resin... Something I wish she would do a little reaearch on because I crindge seeing her not use ANY protective wear from gloves to resperator, vital things as resin is TOXIC and all these people doing this stuff... yes its a fun hoby but you need to keep safe. x.x

I was so excited to see this review! I don't think I would buy it personally since a lot of my molds are bigger.

It appears to be a rebadge of a sub $50 aliexpress food dehydrator. So... $150 for the resin instructions... Keep up the amazing content Jackie 😁👍

I wonder if a dehydrator would work similarly... bonus is it would be big enough for the full mold without cutting. If I got this I'd be tempted to sand off that center ridge.

I'm just getting started with resin, but I might be interested. I have trouble with my items being level. I love June's Journey playing for years.

I play June’s Journey. Have played it for a couple of years. It’s really fun, challenging, dramatic. And with the option to join clubs, it’s also highly social.

I bought the machine and I love it. Works for me. I put big molds on the top tray and propped the lid up with mixing cups. It worked. The only thing is that it's not perfectly level. I didn't do anything where that mattered. If it matters I am not sure what I will do. probably try leveling the machine with popsicle sticks. I'm happy with this machine.

The trays are 180° rotatable to give you more space between the levels for deeper moulds, if they weren't lined up properly it could make the resin slant the way it did
where is the ball to play this?😳⚽
