Yeah, you can practically see what's happening in reality. Like she comes up to "Herb" and hands him a coffee, he greets her with "Hey Neighbor", takes the coffee, looks at it weird and doesn't drink. I think he was standing at his hedge when she came out and handed him something that definitely wasn't coffee, then took a bunch of pictures and went and rummaged in a corner of his garden where he came up behind her and asked if she was doing ok since she wasn't acting like herself (the detective bit was only a few days old, before that she was just somewhat normal Agnes). Then, the chief of police tells her to go home, then turns off the desk lamp which I'm pretty sure was him coming out of his front door to find her on the stoop so he told her to go home, then switched off the porch light.

Why wouldn't everyone think Agatha would return? She's a marvel character that touches the FF and the X-Men, Hahn got nominated for an Emmy for the role and her song was one of the most viral moments of the MCU. Wanda literally says "I know where to find you if I need you" at the end of WandaVision. Bringing her back was a no-brainer.
@eduardoribeiro83782 ай бұрын
Because Marvel has a problem with villains. The majority of them are wasted and underutilized, being killed in the movie/show they're introduced on. The only exceptions are when you're a big saga villain or when you become so popular that they keep bringing the characther back from the dead (Thanos and Loki). Remember Ultron? The Artificial inteligence so stupid that couldn't even create a copy of himself in the internet or in a server? He had material to be a saga villain, but got wasted. They only brought Agatha back because she got viral. If she didn't, they would've forgot her existence, like many others before.

I've been playing the Marvel's Midnight Suns game of late and Agatha is a character in that. It's a much less malevolent version of Agatha, to be sure, but she's still a badass and is in a lesbian relationship. And, just like in this show, it's portrayed such that it would be hard to imagine it any other way, just perfectly natural and ordinary and in keeping with the character.

I love that as the spell was weakening and breaking, like, In-Show "Agnes'" acting began to degrade, like when she's jotting down on the pad and taunting "Teen" in the questioning. Like, she becomes more unhinged and almost drunk as the spell is approaching the breaking point. And the scene was just so bizarre and fun to watch. I think this is the best thing thus far that the MCU produced since Wandavision, and I love that the showrunner watched Multiverse of Madness, probably took a deep breath, and went "I'm going to embrace it, roll with it, and roll it into my work" so, working in the Temple collapsing on Wanda, the specifics of it, almost like the creator had to do her own autopsy on what the creators of Multiverse of Madness did to her character and then. Like, she didn't do a Last Jedi to the Rise of Skywalker where like, half the film was just to undo/retcon what the last film did, she didn't subject us to that, in a very Project Runway way, she made it work and pressed on. Creative Problem-Solving that doesn't even remotely inconvenience or punish the audience.,

@NerdyNightly2 ай бұрын
Yes and no. The show came out at the height of House's run on TV, and was clearly an attempt at capturing that specific audience. Sherlock Holmes was definitely an inspo to both, but Backstrom attempted the same comedy style as House with him having a team he was constantly mocking and what not. It wasn't quite a rip off, but it came close.

To be honest, I think Marvel's TV shows have tended to be better than the movies post infinity saga. Wandavision _was_ good, but it's not at the top of my list which is something like Loki, Moon Knight, Ms Marvel, What If, and _then_ Wandavision, followed by Hawkeye. For the movies, it's Guardians 3, Shang-Chi, No Way Home, and Black Widow at the top and that's kinda it (I haven't seen Deadpool 3 yet, but that'll probably end up there too). Most of the others were _fine_ but a few really fel short. I _did_ enjoy the Marvels, but it had a _lot_ of problems, not least of which was failing to introduce two thirds of the main protagonists to people who hadn't seen the Disney+ shows. The Eternals would have been better as a show (too many characters and backstory to try to shoehorn into a movie), while Secret Invasion and Falcon and the Winter Soldier would probably have been better as movies (we're already very familiar with the main characters of those shows and they don't really do much to build on them or expand the world). This show seems like it has the possibility to edge in above Wandavision, but only time will tell.
