It's actually great that he didn't change into Vader in this scene because that is the Vader Anakin would've been. More powerful and dangerous than the one in the suit. This episode showed us that he made peace with his dark side and has ful mastery of it now. He can switch between Anakin and Vader while maintaining control over the other. The whole scene is just Anakin conducting a therapy session for Ahsok, to fight her demons.

I absolutely love the blending of Vader and Anakin in this scene. It leans heavier on Anakin but the accents of vader, the breathing, the voice mesh AND the fact that Anakin is even wielding Vader's lightsaber and NOT his is a amazing touch. It also allows for faster paced lightsaber dueling AND lets Hayden play Lord Vader one more time. People seem to forget, for a BRIEF period, Anakin WAS Darth Vader before the suit. So seeing Hayden get to portray that version of Darth Vader again is nice.

The second the red blade appeared he was Vader. It was not the suit that made him Vader that occurred the second Anakin took the knee and pledged loyalty to Palpatine. This was the Vader that would have been had he defeated Obi-Wan on Mustafar.

This whole lesson was beautiful. Aside from the obvious visual differences (red saber, Sith eyes and menacing voice) his whole physical demeanor changes. As Anakin he's a warrior, strong, sure and graceful. As Vader he's a Juggernaut, unyielding and deliberate.

God, seeing how *confident* Anakin is in his movements now. He's not just aggressive and powerful, even in his Vader side he's slowly and methodical. He doesn't overdo it trying to just slam his saber into Ahsoka, he easily just dodges her blows and pushes her back. Not because he's just that good, but because you can tell Anakin *knows* Ahsoka can't beat him. He knows, and so does she. Not unless she's willing to actually fight for herself.

Atleast they didn't go too heavy with that because a lot of people wouldn't understand😂 Even people that know about it don't understand , But the more you rewatch the more you realize what's going on he's finally found balance with the force he has 100% control of that Realm Finally taking on his destiny he didn't lose he let her win he didn't go full on.. In the movies Darther vader loses to every major force user left alive. He ranks 5th amongths 5. Sidious, obi wan, luke, yoda and vader himself. There was no other Signficant force users alive. Apparently hes so powerful but he loses to everyone else? doesnt even make sense. I dont care about the comics as theres always some kind of whacky scenario to twist what you like.
