I have the blaster he is talking about in this line of blasters that has a trigger (Space Agent). It does NOT have a removable magazine, you load in it from the top “jam door” but what’s cool is that with a press of a button on either side, you could curve your shot based on which button you pressed. Great blaster for a ball shooter.

Yeah, I have the Rebel Bow Caster from Star Tours from around the same time. And THAT is gawdawful. If you thought the cores of the streamlines were bad, the darts for that blaster is like 70%+ of the length of the dart, with the weirdest air restrictor that required that core to push the post in to deactivate the AR. Even if you did use the darts for it, the Bowcaster BARELY broke 10 feet. The plunger tube is tiny (no K26) and there is a lot of dead space from the tube that connected the plunger to the chamber.

This looks like a vacuum blaster! The ball forms a seal as you draw back the charging rod, and pulling back all the way likely opens a gate (could just be a small hole). Air rushes into the chamber behind the ball, and we have lift-off. This is actually potentially very powerful; if one were to attach a PVC cap and snug brass barrel, this thing might make a super powerful, nearly silent "sniper" pistol.

I have an old one and I just taped down the “load sensor” and I can fire ping pong balls golf balls rival rounds basically anything. I even got it to fire elite darts!
