There’s just a sense of fun and genuine enjoyment that makes it feel like they did this for fun, not content. So many of the channels now just feel over the top. If you want other cozy channels, you really have to dig deep.

I love the D&D series on BU but everytime I rewatch these I remember just how underpowered the villains are XD Joey killed Sam immediately but Bryan & Matt still easily beat him lmao. Also the fact that he apparently only has one ranged attack and can't even do any necromancy :P

By definition, necromancy is raising the dead. But the way it is used in D&d is to describe an entire school of "dark magic". So, technically, all of his spells could be considered necromancy.

Ahh.. I miss Battle Universe. This video is what introduced me to the channel, and as someone who was extremely interested in turn-based stuff like this - (and as someone who is now just getting back into it) - it was, and imo still is, extremely cool to me - even if the idea is relatively simple. I hope to be able to coordinate something similar with any friends I may make in the future.
